Akkurat Belgo Bar is very likely Scandinavias best beer bar, and maybe one of the five best in the world. Hundreds of beers on bottle, some 20 different brands on tap (some of them guest beers), 5 real ale hand pumps with an ever rotating assortment, an cuvée crammed with vintage Belgian beers. And, in addition to that, they offer one of the widest whisky selections in Europe.
The staffs are always competent and willing to give suggestions or tell some facts about the beers or whiskies, even when the bar is crowded.
Belgian-inspired clam dishes dominate the menu, and they are very popular among the patrons. On some rare occasions, the delivery of clams doesnt show up and on those days, I have seen people leave the establishment crying. I dont like shellfish, so I find their meat dishes more interesting (the deer steak with Islay gravy is highly recommended). To be honest, the food was much better for 4-5 years ago, now is still good but not great. If you want to eat, be sure to reserve a table at least in the same afternoon, as the restaurant usually is very crowded.
The price level is surprisingly low for the selection and standard of drinks. Sweden is an expensive place for alcohol and diner-out, but the prices here are on the same level as the run if the mill pub or comparable restaurants in Stockholm: A pint of real ale is SEK 58, a plate of cheese and sausages SEK 78 (September 2004).
The atmosphere can be a little noisy, but it is a jolly noise. The guests are often very mixed; clerks in suits, bikers with beards and leather trousers, beer-nerds who measures the foam with a ruler, senior citizens enjoying a large terrine with clams and the old friends who discuss if Ardbeg 1974 or 1976 is the best choice for half an hour, all in comfort and well-being. Sometimes (mostly Sundays) they arrange concerts in the bar, the styles are mostly blues-rock, boogie-rock or rockabilly.
The premises is not the best, the bar is located in an office building from the late 1980s, and despite the dark wine red walls and ceiling, the collection of beer signs, bottles and miscellaneous odds and ends collected on the walls, the rooms can be somewhat desolate when it is uncrowned.
The establishment is divided into a large bar and a restaurant, the latter open in the evenings. They also got some minor assembly rooms that can be reserved.
Akkurat arranges very interesting of testing and tasting of beer and whisky, ask the personnel or check the web site for details!

This bar has an excellent rotating selection of beers on tap as well as many different varieties in the bottle. There is a blackboard with all currently available beers, their origins, ABV, style, etc. posted within the bar.
The ambience is warm and inviting. The beer is served with the correct glassware and every attention to detail. The serving staff is warm and friendly.
Excellent place to sample new beers. I make a point of visiting it every time I am in Stockholm, which is fairly often.

If you´re into beer and you´re in Stockholm you have to go to Akkurat.
Serving good craft beer for over 15 years.
Local Swedish craft, cask real ale, american craft, belgian craft, german craft and always lambics from Cantillon on tap! Also a big bottle selection and vintage beers.
They also serve good food in different styles, moules frites, homemade bratwurst and swedish food. It can be really crowded during weekends so go there early.

I go to Stockholm (the home of DICE and Battlefield, shameless plug) about 3-4 times a year and am lucky enough to stay near Akkurat. The selection is outstanding and their range of Cantillon's is amazing. Was lucky enough to sample Soleil de Minuit when I was there in August. If you are in Stockholm this is a must.

Great selection of Belgian ales and the food is really good. But like all places in Stockholm it is going to cost you. I go here about once a month for a few pints and its always worth it, but I only have one or two then head on up to Oliver twist or down to Monks. Good thing about Stockholm is that you can walk or take the Underground everywhere and dont have to drive!
They have an awesome selection of the booming craft beer scene featuring many small Swedish micro brews. They also have a weekly Cantillion beer! I LOVE it!

Visited on May 23, 2012 while in Stockholm for the day (during a cruise around the Baltic):
Visited the establishment at around 2pm and considering that it was a warm sunny day all of the patrons were on the porch, which is where we ultimately ended up, so I got a limited view/vibe of the interior of the place. At that point in the day, there may have been only a few other patrons, maybe a half dozen.
We were quickly greeted upon entering and provided the beer menu. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and beer in general and even provided some sample to my wife so that she could figure out what she wanted. The menu was extensive and included US beers as well. The tap selection was not overly extensive, but still good and I think that we settled on a Bedaro Bitter and Tjockhult Tjinook, which if I recall is specially brewed for the bar. Both beers were served in the appropriate glassware and at the right temperature and with a 2-3 finger head.
On my way out, strolled through the interior of the bar, with no people, it looked like a typical bar, nothing especially memorable about it. Overall, we had a good experience and if ever back in that part of the world, we would probably stop in for another pint or two or three.

First off, thanks to my fellow BA's for stearing me in the direction of this place on my firs(and sadly short) trip to Stockholm. Secondly, another huge thanks to the other 7 in my crew that split the cab fare from our hotel into the city!
It was two hours before closing, and the weather was awful and the bar was crowded. Everything else was flawless! Service was very prompt at the bar even without speaking a drop of Swedish and asking questions about the extensive offerings. Had a few local pints before getting to the real reason I visited Akkurat...the cellar. First offering was no longer in stock, but quickly "settled" on a 2002 Cantillon Lou Peppe Framboise. Pricey I suppose if you just looked at the amount, but when you consider how long theyve properly aged it and how damned Nirvanesque that nectar was, I would have gladly dropped another chunk for another bottle. Alas, closing time, maybe I was lucky.
Draft selection is broad and great, though didnt hit any other comparable bars so cant compare to others. Cellar and normal bottle selection were overwhelming in a great way. Hell they even had
Konjaks! Stormaktsporter available!
If you go to Stockholm, go here...alot...till you run out of money :).

Visited Akkurat while in Sweden for the Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Fest. The first evening we stopped in it was incredibly packed, and could not find a table or a place to stand. Returned the next night and got there before it opened. There was a line of people waiting to get in, but we were able to get a decent table. The beer selection is incredible, especially if you're into vintage lambics, which I am not. And you could drop a ton of money because they're not cheap. I tried a Swedish IPA in a bottle which was decent, but switched to the Harviestoun Natural Blonde that was on cask which was awesome. The burger I had was one of the best ever. They had a great local band playing, but the place was incredibly packed because of it. Our waitress was great considering how many people she had to serve. This place reminded me a lot of the Kulminator in Antwerp because of their incredible cellar offerings. Just way too crowded to be all that enjoyable for me.
