Presented in the typical yellow can with red tennents lettering
I've never been a fan of uk made lagers, although the stouts and ales are good
Pours with a very light body, light amber in hue, the head is fluffy and sticks to the glass with high levels of lacing
Smell is malty and has little fragrance
Taste is similar to most pale lagers like carlsberg or harp, but it is quite good, although very simple
Not bad, and very easy to drink, but there are much better beers out there
Serving type: can

(on tap at Victoria Freehouse - served in a 20 oz proper pint)
A: pale gold color, nearly perfectly clear... open-structured white foam on the pour, quietly settles out to barely an outer ring, little lacing...
S: not much to excite... flowery notes, final mash runnings... water from an old, rusted (iron) faucet... perhaps a touch of dinner roll crust... maybe it's the glass, but I can hardly smell a thing
T: foundation of mild, fresh pale malt flavors - I wouldn't be able to suggest any complexity to the malt flavors other than to say it tastes like dried-out pils malt - no "bready" or "biscuity" or other qualities of the like... perhaps a slight earthy hop presence... mild mineral and hop bitterness to balance... doesn't taste watery or watered-down, doesn't have any discernible fruity character - but the overall intensity of flavor, even as it warms, is very mild
M: around light-medium bodied - on the lighter end between thin and medium, slight roundness... crisp, clean, without any fizzy bite or malty roll
O: had this last about 5 years ago in the UK - that was the "velvet" lager (nitro?) draft offering... this isn't all that bad, it's serviceable - thankfully has some malt flavor, to provide a modicum of interest
Serving type: on-tap
