Found a bottle of this in a 6-pack of Full Sail Amber. Nice to try something different. The smell was a little strange, especially for a wheat type beer. It tasted good though, although the slight hoppiness and dryness was a little suprising, I did enjoy it for a change.

Appearance Very clear yellow with a tinge of orange. The head was robust, long lasting, and laced well.
Smell Musty grain leads of this show. I found it hard to get by, but I guess theres also a light citrus hop in there if you work hard for it.
Taste Not as bad as it smelled. There are in fact some hops to this one, and theyre not half bad. The grain rears its ugly head though and the cheap sugars disappoint. Wheres the yeast?
Mouthfeel This was extraordinarily thin. The persistent hops though offered a refreshing finish.
Drinkability If its hot and youre thirsty, give this one a try.

12 oz brown long neck bottle with an Enjoy By freshness date on the side of the label.
Appearance: Shiny bright golden hue with a brilliant clarity, the thick foamy head lives to stick to the glass all the way down.
Smell: Trademark NW hop aroma a bit soft with light peachy, citric and piney notes. A dusty grain aroma within and some fruitiness as well.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Neatly laid down smoothness with a crisp wheat and barley malt sweetness. Hops flash a touch of pungency with a soft flowing bitterness. Maltiness stays within its pale tone fruitiness and a long hop finish wrap this brew up.
Notes: Such a beautiful brew, nothing like having a hoppy yet light summer seasonal. This one hit the spot for me.

The beer pours a pellucid golden amber color, the head minimal; frothy in texture and it vanishes quite quickly leaving a thin sheet of lace to cover the glass. Nose is citrus crisp, clean and fresh, somewhat sweet as is the start that is also thickly malt; top is skinny in its feel to the palate. Finish is sprightly acidic and the hops pleasant enough in their spicy presence, dry lingering aftertaste, and a nice drinkable beer, not great, but drinkable nonetheless.

Ok new summer brew from one of my fav breweries.
Comes in the 12 oz long neck. This has the new style Full sail label..this time with a Wind Surfer out of the water ( hangtime).says on the neck: "A refreshing crystal wheat ale."
Ok it certainlly looks quite appetizing as i pur it into the glass..lovelly golden colour topped with a good sized foamy white head..that shrinks but does not completlly go nice carbonation strings.
Smell is mainlly it seems of wheat..theres some hop aroma but its shielded..but I can certainlly smell the sourness the wheat gives off..its nice.
MMM there is a lot of wheat in this beer..its very obvious from the taste..very nice indeed..notmuch off flavors..some nice malt sweetness..then a doughy wheat taste on the back of the tongue..some nice aftertaste of hops.
Very nice on the palate..soft and smooth then a small hoppish "zing" at the end.
Happy I bought a six of this one..its a great summer drinker..recommended.

Bottle dated "Enjoy by 09/2003"...
Appearance: a pilsner-gold color, crystal clear, lots of enticing bubbles, thin sudsy cap of head, some thin lacing
Aroma: light malty/bready scent with just a tickle of earthy hops, a touch of honey and some biscuity notes as well
Flavor: bready wheat flavor and a sweet maltiness ride tandem, neither one overtakes the other, a tangy twinge just before a slightly edgy hop bitterness comes in, the bitterness rides through the dry finish and lingers in the aftertaste as bitter almond flavor
Mouthfeel: light body, soft effervescence
Overall Impression: What a great little refresher! I wouldn't mind having a sixer of this in my fridge on a hot summer day! Or even a warm summer day. Easy drinking!

Beer pours to a golden color. . Not much head or lace to speak of. Very wheaty on the nose. Nice and light, perfect for Summer drinking. Great taste, not too bitter and not too bland. Probably one of the better brews from Full Sail, but didn't seem worth the $7 a six-pack they were asking from the brewery.

Pours a medium golden hue with lotsa lively bubbles. Laces decently and smells fresh and citrusy.
A crisp and rather forward wheat flavor that is passed with a notable hop character. Toasty and citrusy. Full and clean in the finish. There is a slight nuance of creamy maltiness in the mouth after all is said and done. In addition to that, a nice dryness helps round out the said smooth note. I was expecting it to be leaning more towards a NW hefeweizen, (think Widmer) but it is quite different from my expectations. (Probably a good reason to not have expectations!) It is more assertive than the above mentioned selection and has a bit more bite. You can definately identify the pale ale-ish qualities.
Makes me want a shrimp cocktail.

Deep gold color. Medium head. Aroma is fruity and a touch sweet. A medium bodied wheat. Wheats are very evident in this beer, but they are balanced by some very citrusy hops. Lighter taste, but still has some flavor. Light and refreshing. Very drinkable. A nice summer seasonal from Full Sail. Well balanced. Smooth taste. A great summer beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This beer when poured produced a bright golden hue with no foam what so ever. The smell of hop's was the only aroma that I could pick up and not much of that. The taste of hops with just a little hint of wheat was all there was. The finish was crisp without the usual bitterness!

12 oz, longneck brown bottle, capped, Enjoy By date embossed on the label.
This "crystal wheat ale" poured a clear, golden color with fine bubbling action and creamy, white foam that coated the glass. The smell was floral hops with a milder biscuity malt aroma behind. The taste was dominated by tangy hops but with some wheat and biscuit malt and a bit of citrus, but overall the flavor was a bit thin. The mouthfeel was slightly sweet and tangy with medium-light body and good carbonation feel. The aftertaste had residual hop bitterness. The drinkability was OK for this decent summertime beer.
Thanks to Reidrover for this beer.

Pours a nice frothy head that bails out pretty fast. Nice light gold color, hazy like I've come to expect from wheat ales.
Faint esters in the nose, otherwise it's malt with a light bit of hops making an appearance. Some spice rolling around in there as well.
Taste is bright, wheaty, and clean. It could be a little chewier but overall nicely done. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing.
This is a good one. I've been happily impressed with every one of the beers I've tried from this brewery, and each has found their way into my regular rotation. This should be no exception.

This is a filtered wheat beer with a golden color and a light white head. It has a light hoppy aroma. As the bottle says, it's a crisp beer with a light hoppy taste and little aftertaste.
The whole malt flavor is subservient to the hops. I'd prefer a little more malt in the taste. Regardless, it is a good session beer.
