Pours just over two fingers of head on a clear golden colored body. Perfect.
The aroma is some pinewood with lots of bright citrus.
The taste has a mild pine bitterness to start, then strikes a good balance with a lot of malt.
A fairly crisp body with some soft spots and moderate carbonation.
Quite enjoyable. I personally would have enjoyed a little more of a bitter beer, but it's great the way it is.

As a long time homebrewer this is something I've contemplated for some time. Marry the classic hoppy Czech/German Pils with Cascade hops. Thanks Full Sail for beating me to the punch. See, for awhile now I've been a bit underwhelmed by the Cascade hop. It's a mother beautiful hop, but it's once mighty nature has been eclipsed by the new world high alpha dual bitter/aroma powerhouses of the world. Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, HB3.14159265359, blah blah blah. You get the picture. In my mind Cascade is the USAs "noble" hop. Bred for speed, bred for comfort, bred for its classic, signature floral/citrus aroma. But at the end of the day it has more in common with Saaz and Tetnang than it does with Amarillo or Nelson Sauvin. Let's face it, Cascade has become a geriatric hop variety, albeit an extremely classy, well aged one. And much like its "noble" brethren I wanted to see how it would perform in a classic pils beer. Again, thanks Full Sail and congratulations on 26 years of wonderful beers. So enough with the jive and shuck, let's cut the what? Oh yeah, Full Sail Cascade Pilsner. Everything I could have hoped for and more, lovely colour, floral/citrus/ hay like classic pils aroma with a bit of new world balls. Toast with honey and butter. Bitter, off dry, and thirst quenching. Liquid gold, pure happiness. Staggeringly good stuff.

A - Great appearance. For a pilsner, it's pretty low in bubblage. Very crisp and clear.

S - Smells great. Slightly malty and sweet, but you can tell from the start it's going to be a smooth ride.

T - Delicious. Not too bitter, with some surprising sweetness. Slight malts and fruit flavors.

M - A rare pilsner that doesn't make you feel "gassy" afterwards. Low carbonation. Great for a hot day, I could drink this as a refresher.

O - I'm usually partial to dark beers, but I would recommend Full Sail as a great pilsner any day of the week.

Served in Nonic. Poured a perfectly clean, clear, crisp, bright light gold color with about 1/4 inch of white head that had moderate retention and lacing.

The aroma was very subdued, light grains with a very slight yeast scent, and some very gentle hops in the background. Nothing really wrong with the aroma, just no real personality. On the tongue the beer has a bit bolder of a presence, the grains are a bit earthier, the yeast spicier, and the hops just bold enough to provide a slight bite.

The body was a bit thicker than I prefer in the style, was still very smooth and even. The finish was stickier than I would have liked, but still managed to be mostly dry. Drinkability was pretty good, you could easily drink several of these in the outside seating area of your local drinkery. Overall, a pretty nice brew. Not a standard for the style, but a beer that's certainly worth a shot if you see it.

its sad but true to me, that full sail's best beer to date (that I've had anyway) is a pils. its a great pils, one of the best american ones i can remember, but its just a pils, and for a brewery who puts out so much beer thats interesting and should be fantastic, it seems a bit ironic, but ill take it, because this is wonderful beer. crystal clear, radiant yellow gold color, insanely active carbonation, and a white head collecting and rising up over an inch high and never really settling down much. the frantic bubbles are incredible, just packed with carbonation, and its as clear as they come. the nose is lightly hopped, probably cascade given the name here, alpha rich, but delicately done. the grains don't scream german pils at me, but i get it. more of a standard american two row type, not as dusty or bakery feeling as the german ones. the hops carry all the way through, juicy and fresh as can be, notes of pineapple and pine, and a touch of sweetness. honey sweetness from the grain is there, but its cleaned up by the yeast really well and the finish is fast and refreshing. carbonation is big time, and the body is light. its a beer i could drink all day, and its interesting enough to not get boring. really a very good take on a style that usually doesn't do much for me.

Attractive amber brew poured into the, oh what the heck, angular Ciney tulip. Pleasant sudsy mouthfeel with modest foam but some lacing along the glass. Inviting flowery, hoppy scent.

Light bodied and crisp with some malt substance. Some piney hops with an aromatic, tangy sensation. Slight malty sweetness with a biscuity taste followed by a little acidity. Tastes of lime peel come through for the bitter finish. I have to say this is one of the most pleasant American Pilsners I've tasted.

This is just an extremely drinkable brew. I think they took some care to present a light but excellent beer instead of the usual anniversary alcohol bomb. It's actually unique among the annual celebration beers, but after 26 years they can afford to showcase what they do best-- suave, tasty lagers.

Bomber served chilled into a shaker pint glass.

Cascade Pilsner is a very pale straw yellow color with a slight haze. It has thin white head that settles quickly and leaves no lacing.

Aroma is an interesting mix of pilsner malt and yeast combined with fresh citrusy hops.

Flavor is a similar juxtaposition of German pilsner and west coast pale ale. The combination is well balanced but I'm just not sure I enjoy it.

Mouthfeel is light in body and leaning towards the bitter side of the scale.

Overall an interesting blend of styles but not entirely to my liking.

Pale gold body with a creamy, fluffy white head; minor lacing on the glass. Grassy and malty aroma with a bit of spicy and floral hop character. Light cereal grain flavors combined with a peppery bitterness. Medium-light body with a slightly coarse carbonation; clean and dry finish.

A very respectable pilsner with a nice representation of Cascade hops in the aroma and flavor. One the better basic pilsners I've had in a while. Full Sail has a winner lager for its 26th Anniversary. I hope other beers they may offer also make the grade.

Great looking, tan and clear with a pretty good head (1.5 fingers) that had some staying power, a fine cascade of tiny bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass, and thick sheets of sticky lace.

Aroma and flavor are on par with what I expect from the style, perhaps with a little more of a citric note than usual tho (grapefruit, lemon, and some grapefruit peel). Grass, hay, and fresh meadow are there, as are floral notes, but there's definitely cascade in there (my favorite hop).

Body is light, crisp, easy drinking. Overall Full Sail hasn't disappointed me yet and this is no exception. I do like full sail.
