Presentation: 12oz brown bottle with an "enjoy by" date clearly marked.

Appearance: Very bright, clear and bubbly with a pale orange hue ... an attractive lace hangs around long enough to finish the brew off.

Smell: Big whiff of malt sweetness with a peppery, veggie, and spicy hop nose and some cracker like grain also.

Taste: A growing tingling hop bitterness flows with the carbonation to form a spicy crisp bite. Light to medium in body that shows off an elegantly textured mouth feel. Wonderful dryish biscuit malt character has enough backbone to hold up against the lingering hop. Both grain and lemony spicy Saaz hop barely faded into the everlasting finish.

Notes: Subtle though one of the most impressive American brewed pilsners I have had to date ... unhappily this is not a year-round brew. (815 characters)

Ah, the ol' pilsner review, kid you not, Full Sail used to be awesome.

Standard relatively clear golden pour, fluffy head that just chilled and kicked it for quite some time and left a good lacing job.

Aroma and taste, quiet, pepper, lemon and crackers with the faintest floral Saaz hop feel. Very light on the palate, didn't weigh down the tongue, always felt refreshed to take the next sip.

This beer was never easy to find, saw it a few times at Bevmo, but seemed a lot more prevalent when I'd make my Eugene and Portland trips. (537 characters)

My bottle reads ABV 6.0%, not 5.40%. (36 characters)

A pretty blond girl stopped me in the store and asked me if I'd tryed beer from their brewery. I hadn't and I love cascade hops so I'm about to give this a shot. Pours a nice bright clean yellow. Little head in a pint glass. Ah I do like that cascade hop. Lots of hop up front then turns a little bitter. Not bad at all. (320 characters)

I remember having this with some students of the Full Sail CGI school in Florida. It was crystal clear with hints of gold. Very very smooth, malty, light on the nose. Hints of bread and slightly sweet. (201 characters)

Gold color, medium foamy head. Aroma is grainy and slightly sweet. Mildly hopped, lightly malted pilsner. Nice flavor, good mild hop signature. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is smooth, clean. Aftertaste is slightly hoppy, very little bitterness. (251 characters)

Looking for a straight forward pilsner to quench your thirst, watered down fizzy concoction you can pound back one after the other. This is not it. Higher abv than most pilsners and hopped very well. This is a great beer for the summer when you want something with a bite. (272 characters)

I am not a big pilsner fan, but this one is very tasty.

I would buy more of this. (82 characters)

Rec'd in WFM craft pack, which with the case discount works out to $1 a bottle. Who cares if you throw out St John's Mango when you get to find gems like this!
JUST UPGRADED in taste off vs Smuttynose Wunderbar.

This beer is not retired.

A. Full lace sails over a golden body.
S. Chardonnay like. Big aroma of malt with grapey, sun warmed hay, grass, veggy, and peppery hop nose.
T. Follows the smell the most white-wine like beer ever. Builds with a tingling hop pepper and spice bitterness to delivery crisp bite.
F. Light to medium in body that shows off the textured feel. Long lemony, crisp finish.

Wonderful, find it, try it! (639 characters)

Ummm, this beer is NOT retired, at least not in Charlotte, North Carolina, summer of 2015....which is a long way from Oregon.

WHAT a terrific beer! A true Pilsner, with an American twist--that is Cascade hops--yet at a real pilsner hopping ibu rate.

Beautiful fluffy white, long lasting head, with a crystal clear straw gold body.

Aroma is of cascade hops and pilsner malt (surprise!) which really is an unusual combination. The delicate side of cascade--when not used at excessive ibus really comes out. Delightful!

Taste is really the kicker. Hops give a slight kick, but with a smooth malty backbone. What a lovely, delicious beer. This is one (even) Germans would appreciate.

Mouthfeel is just right. Not heavy, not watery. Just like a good pilsner is supposed to be.

Overall, a really outstanding Pilsner.....creative, which isn't easy in this classic, narrowly defined style. I hope more brewers will mess with some of the newer IPA-type hops, making delicate, drinkable pilsners. Such beers put primitive "session IPAs" to shame..... (1,058 characters)
