Our Amber is a sweet, malty, medium-bodied ale with a spicy, floral hop finish. It's brewed with 2-row Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts. And we hop it with Mt. Hoods and Cascades. We're as proud of it today as we were back in '89. And over the years it's earned more than 25 Gold Medals. Not that we're keeping track or anything.

Coming from a person who doesn't like ales too much, this is a good beer. Very balanced taste. The hops are noticeable but not overwhelming, perhaps less so than Boston Lager. It has a nice dark amber color (imagine that). The smell is what bothers me. To me the smell isn't very attractive for a beer but besides that its a fine beer.

Look: Clear amber in color with a lively pure white head that quickly settles to a thin film and leaves minimal lacing behind
Aroma: Warm brown bread, caramel, toffee, light earthy notes, and fruity esters abound
Taste: Sweet bready malt and toffee show up first and soon joined by caramel along with some earthiness. More caramel malt carries the middle along with some light fruity esters and closes with more bready goodness and some toffee
Mouthfeel: Full, soft, medium-high carbonation, and a smooth and soft finish
Overall: I dig it. One of the first micros I ever cut my beer geek teeth on and it’s still a tasty and solid amber ale. Good bready malt, caramel, toffee, a light hp undertone, and smooth throughout. Delicious, especially for a no-nonsense, I-just-want-a-beer-type mood

L: Pours an amber color with no head really.
S: Super malty upfront, faint amount of hops, fruity.
T: The malt flavor is the main one i'm tasting, really good though. Subtle hop bite.
F: Medium-bodied, high carbonation, smooth.
O: Decent amber ale, worth the try.

Not sure how I hadn't had this one yet. Solid amber, no real bells or whistles. Pours standard amber ale with a finger of white bubbles. Toasty caramel malts, smoke, and nuts present in the nose. Taste has same flavors but with a biscuit malt backbone and a hint of lemon on the finish. Feel is malty and medium bodied, with decent carbonation.
