Quite a pretty beer Full Sail has concocted for their 2007 Christmas Ale...
It pours almost garnet-colored, a dark reddish brown. Balanced carbonation makes it not too lively, but far from flat. Small head, but lacing for days.

The smell oddly enough reminds me of pine trees and cinammon... but thankfully there is a rich aroma of malty-goodness that save the beer from smelling like Glade airfreshener.

The taste is sweet, nutty, and malty (of the goodness previously described). There is a strong resin and cinnamon finish that softens but hangs for well... a very long time. Lots of complexity, but not as much balance as I like.

The feeling in your mouth, however is gorgeous! Smooth, silky, incredible.. So incredibly good that I actually said 'incredible' in a french accent because it deserved such smoothness...

I'm not going to lie, as for drinkability.. I'm not as into this as Anchor's or even Sierra Nevada's, Christmas offerings this year, but it is still very drinkable to this lass.

review from yesterday:

Enjoy By 2/21/14. I guess I'm about a month out....
Very dark, nut Brown, almost transparent. Small head, tan, creamy.
Aroma is slightly nutty, some spice, although it says there isn't any.
Taste is bread and caramel up front, sweet, then some hop bitterness to follow.
Kind of thin, especially for a 7.2% abv, but decent. leaves a bitter aftertaste with some kind of spice on the roof of the mouth.
