Put this in your regular Christmas rotation.

A lot to offer. A dark ale with a spicy nose, it might even make fruitcake palatable. Cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. A sharp attack of hops on the first sip, but it's needed as you get into this ale. The malt and spice needs a balancing element.

The taste as it warms in the glass is satisfying, rich and makes you glad it's a holiday.

Ruby colored and clear, nice head, good lacing.

There's an awesome malty base to the nose and flavor, along with some sweet fruitiness, a nice little bit of subtle chocolate, and a crisp, clean, deliciously strong bitterness.

Really for a winter warmer, I haven't ever tasted one so bitter, and I love it! It's amazing, this is perhaps my favorite beer in the style ever. Drinkability is off the charts high, and I'm going to have to make the trip (somewhat across town) to the big liquor store where I found it, to make sure I get some more before it runs out.

Full sail, hats off to you. I'm a fan of your beers, but this one is really outstanding, the best you've made yet.

Nothing really good to say about this beer... typical taste that is far from a Winter Ale.. for the most part taste like an Oktoberfest... starting to wonder if the 7.2% ABV is really true... I drank 6 of them in a 3 hour period and felt no more of a kick then if I drank 6 5.0% brews.. not impressed even with the 90 day's availability-theme on the label... one of the reason's I bought it and never will again! Not trying to be a sour puss but this brew is far from a solid brew that deserves top ratings I have had WAY better.

Full Sail Wassail has a medium, cream-colored head, a dark, brown-red appearance, lots of bubble streams, and pretty heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of rich, sweet, malty, chocolaty, and vegetative smell, and the flavor is of all that, with dark bread crust, chocolate powder, fruit, and lots of strong residual bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit slick, and Full Sail Wassail finishes semi-dry, rich, delicious, and easy drinking. Overall, this is a most excellent Winter warmer.
