Appearance: Comes out of the bottle in a straw-yellow color that is typical of this style of beer. Formed a healthy two-finger head, cream-white, which retained for a good while after it was poured. Laced the glass rather heartily.

Smell: Fairly malty and sweet. Not offensive in any manner. Slightly biscuity and 'toasted' hops aroma lingering in the air somewhat.

Taste: Tastes very malty and is on the sweeter side, which I wasn't expecting. That's not to say that it's bad, but a part of it seems to be lacking. It is as if the beer almost gets the flavor it is going for, but then it falls a tad bit short. Perhaps it's an older bottle I picked up? Still a good one to sip and actually tastes better with every gulp. Slightly bittersweet after-taste.

Mouthfeel: Light and somewhat watery. A hint of carbonation. An easy-drinking beer that is as refreshing as it is unique. Can you say 'accessible'?

Overall: For a lager, this is perhaps one of the better examples I've seen. It beats the tar out of any of the BMC contenders and its price point keeps it competitive. It's by no means the best out there, however. The stubby 11oz bottle is certainly part of the charm of Session, and it's not a bad brew at all...it just lacks a certain something.

The bottom line here is if you're willing to sacrifice the 1oz for a refreshing and admittedly tasty lager in a fun package for your next gathering, look no further. It tastes great even being drunk straight out of the bottle! I'd certainly suggest it to someone looking to get into higher-quality beers or someone who wants to try something a bit different, esp. those who drink only one kind of beer.

Notes: Poured into a clean U.S. Style tumbler glass, served chilled.

crazy ive never written about this one before, certainly drank my share. its not bad for the price, better than a lot of the macro stuff in this space, a little full bodied by some standards maybe, and certainly not completely dry, but compare to like a coors banquet or something, its in that range, maybe corn based with a little grainy sweetness in the center, no flavor hardly at all from the lager yeast either, but i dont really miss it. it almost is more about rate of consumption than enjoyment, especially when its good and frosty, each sip just wets the whistle and goes away fast enough, thirst quenching without being boring or bland. no much happening on the hop side, but it does have an almost mexican lager vibe, that yeast maybe or some noble hop in the background, simple beer really, but pretty solidly done. not going to change the world, but after hockey in the locker room with the boys, this is a pretty easy one to ease the pain. unexciting but not half bad either, although i definitely prefer some of the other beers in this line...

Look: Semi-clear deep yellow in color with a good head quickly forming and retreating just as fast
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, malted barley, some damp straw, and more grainy notes
Taste: Follows nose well but more pronounced. Lots of malt/grain notes through and through and honestly, though I know they are there, the hops are squarely in the background and only felt in the lack of any unbalanced malt sweetness
Mouthfeel: Solid. Medium carbonation, full-bodied, not at all thin or watery, and very crisp and clean on the finish
Overall: A tasty no-nonsense American lager here. This has been a warm weather or sessionable beer for me for over a decade and honestly, I usually don’t have a fresh palate when cracking one open so very interesting that to me, this is very malt-forward. Well priced, easy to find, and tasty – can’t beat it

A regular offering at summer bbqs up here in the PacNW.

If poured in to a glass, honey colored, modest off-white head, light lacing. Active carbonation as it sits.

Smell is grainy/bready malts, light fruity notes and a bit of grassy hops.

Taste is much of the same, really light though.

Watery and pretty crisp, carbonation is on the heavier end.

Not bad, not great. If you opt not to have this you're not missing out on anything. Fairly priced though.

(12 oz bottle, packaged 07/09/19; purchased single off shelf... poured into 14 oz mug)

L: polished-clear, pale yellow-amber liquid; tall head on pour, breaks down quick... lousy, spitty collar left for a sec; bubbles all but disappear after a bit

S: pale malt with a kiss of toasty caramel-y grain; subtle essence of floral, soapy hop fragrance; overall intensity low-moderate

T: bit more semi-sweetish, burly maltiness on the palate compared to degree suggested in aroma; golden bread roll crust aftertaste, along with a very subtle spicy-grassy hop bitterness; semi-dry finish... it actually creeps into malt liquor territory, with the wheat giving it that extra little doughy umph missing from an adjunct brew

F: bit of a slow plush roll to its flow; delicate back-end sizzle, latent gas... faint sense of residual viscosity preventing this from feeling thin

O: maybe only had this once or twice almost a decade ago; was surprised to still see it around here in NJ... all branding - not bad, not great... no need to put this in a glass, tailor-made for bottle (or can) swillin' (1540)

Pours a golden colour with a thick head that dissolves into the beer within a minute.

Taste is definitely malt forward, some carbonation, no discernible hops.

Bottle says "Pkg 9/13/18", so not sure if the age has anything to do with it.
