12oz bottle purchased at Huckleberry’s in Spokane for $1.29. According to the label, this is best by November 11, 2014.
Poured into a Jever pilsener glass, this was a slightly hazy amber-gold color, with a decent sized bone-white head.
Smelled like a Pacific Northwest-hopped version of a pilsener, with a piney and citrusy hop scent dominant. It’s a little stronger of a hop aroma than normal for the style, but not to the point of it being unsettling.
The ratio of hops to malts is kept pretty close to the standard for the style, though it’s still a little more hoppy than the norm, and, like in the scent, the hop flavor is more akin to what grows in the Yakima Valley than, say, in the Czech Republic.
The body is somewhere between light and medium, with a slightly oily mouthfeel. It finishes cleanly, just as a pilsener should.
This works pretty well as an Americanized pilsener – pretty close to, but not exactly the real thing. Where it shines is that you are more likely to get a hold of a fresh example of this than one of the outstanding European pilseners, and it’s often cheaper than those imported beers. Definitely one I’ll go back to.

A - Brassy-clear gold, with a one-finger head of foam that settles down to just a coupe of
S - Light skunk, along with a deep floral hoppy aroma - almost bread-like, but not quite. A
little hard to describe. Complex smell.
T - Bitter-sweet and extremely well balanced. A slight, lingering, very faint sweetness in the
aftertaste - more like a cross between an excellent pilsner and a helles/export type lager.
M - Medium body with good, not-over-the-top carbonation.
O - The best domestic pilsner I've ever had! A little higher ABV than I'm used to for even the
best pilsners, but the added attention to quality by the brewer makes this seasonal
lager a must-try! Outstanding!

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is a bit malty, a touch of sweetness. Taste is malts, some grains, mild bitterness at the finish. Refreshing but kind of mild. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Bottle into pint glass.
Very fresh and light colored golden pilsner with solid carbonation and a nice snow white head that stuck around for a while.
Smell was a bit thin, you could tell this is more lager than Pilsner. Didn't get any hop smell at all.
Smooth mouthfeel and the right level of carbonation, but the beer was a bit light and sweet to my taste. Thought this might be a bit more German tasting than American lager.
Good, but not one I'll repeat.
