On tap at the brewery in an imperial pint. See-thru golden body with a bright white frothy head. Decent lacing and some patches of soapy lacing.

Not a particularly strong nose, although there's a pleasant combo of aromas: grass, grain, floral notes, a touch of sulfur. A bit on the thickish and sweetish side, and there's a hint of vegetable flavor I can't quite identify (the wife thinks okra??). On the positive side, there's a nice jolt of bitterness, and it's pretty tasty in general. Good balance of grassy hops and lightly toasted malt. Grainy, fairly crisp finish. Went down just fine on a warm summer afternoon.

On tap at McCormick and Schmick's Harborside PDX, a fine one-off from legendary brewer John Harris, $4.75 a pint into shaker glass, 7.15.11.

Half finger head, hard to judge dissipation to due minimal head/full pour, deep gold clear body, multiple streams of carbonation rising up sides of glass, good lacing. Floral hops and toasted malt in the nose. Taste is a bit on the sweet side re dextrins, toasted malt predominates. Mouthfeel is a bit on the light side of medium, soft due to awesome Bull Run water, just about right, crisp, dry finish. In a side by side with LTD 3 this was certainly the bit sweeter of the two. A well made Pilsener, certainly sessionable on a hot summer day.
