This "American IPA + WInter warmer" is sure to intrigue. Poured from a 22 oz bomber to a pint glass.
Appearance: Copper/amber with a cream colored head. Visible lacing on the glass.
Smell: Smells like a winter beer, with raisins and faint floral hops which become the dominant aroma after about a minute.
Flavor: Spicy and hoppy, much like described. There are figs, raisins, and hints of cherries in the beginning. A slight oak taste leads into hop grassiness and then bitterness of the finish. There is definite warmth to this beer, which is sort of confusing my mouth with the hop presence. The finish is full floral hop oils.
MF: Not sweet or full-bodied like lots of holiday beers. All ingredients are in moderation and mostly work well with each other. I think Full Sail really accomplished what they wanted this beer to be.
Serving type: bottle
