Cold 12oz bottle into cold pint glass.

A: gentel pour geta no head or at least the khaki foam didn't last long. Dark browb or even black, no light getting through. Poured kinda thick.

S: roasty with hints of coffee. No chocolate on the nose though. Something kind of sweet peeks through but only a little could be a bit of malt sweetness.

A: chocolate on the palate with lots of rich roasty flavor. It finishes with that sweetness I couldn't identify really and a bit of burnt bitter. Almost like a sweet stout. The sweetness really lingers.

M: heavy as far as lagers go, in the grand scheme it is medium bodied. Being so cold smooths it out.

O: good brew, but Full Sail has a tendancy to brew good beers. glad I picked this up. Not usually a lager fan but I am a sucker for roasty chewy beers that don't taste like sulfur (one of my least favorite lager characteriatics)

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a dark brown color, with a large off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, lager yeast and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty roasted malt character and lager yeast. Then some sweet flavors of coffee and chocolate quickly follow. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: A little crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a decent beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Pours an opaque brown/black with brilliant ruby highlights ave a frothy beige head that slowly dissipates.

Milk chocolate, lightly toasted malt, and nutty toffee form the initial aroma. Chocolate really dominates, with floral hops and a touch of diacetyl rounding out the finish.

Flavor reveals a huge backbone of sweet, nutty, toffee malt character, which finishes with a hint of slightly bitter roast. Underpinnings of dates, prunes, and figs add complexity. Chocolate is evident throughout, but does not dominate as much as in the aroma.

Body is fairly watery, which is exacerbated by carbonation that's a touch overdone.

Fairly complex malt character. The diacetyl complements the chocolate well. Probably cloyingly sweet to some, I enjoy the indulgence.

appearance: Pitch black with a tiny bit of light coming through when held up to a light. Wispy thin layer of head dissipates quickly. Zero lacing. Head doesn't build unless swirled vigourously.

Smell: black currant, chocolate, figs.

Taste: Dark fruits that finishes with a dry, slightly bitter chocolate flavor. As the beer warms the fruit and chocolate flavors meld together better and better but alcohol also becomes present in the taste as well.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied with great feel.

Overall, this is an extremely flavorful beer with a fantastic mouthfeel. Lots of dark fruits balanced out with a cocoa finish. A very soild beer

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on February 15, 2014.

The pour is a rich looking deep brown with a tan head that builds up and lingers on top. Attractive looking beer.

They say on the label that there is not coffee or chocolate in the beer. Well the malts must be mingling beautifully because those are the key aromas that I pick up along with a buttery soirt of character.

Light to medium body.

The taste begins sweet with coffee and chocolate along with a kind of black licorice note. There is a thin bitterness at first but it tends to grow as I drink the beer. Although it never takes over the beer.

Pours dark brown with a slight off white head that instantly recedes. Aroma leads with some figs and caramel, underneath theres some roastiness with a little earthiness. Flavor offers a nice dose of figs and raisins, caramel, a lttle chocolate and closes out with some roasted coffee grinds. Not very delicate, more heavy handed and direct in its delivery. Fuller bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, solid beer here. Better than I went in expecting it to be.

Full Sail LTD 06 has a thick, cream-colored head, a dark, red-brown, clear (not hazy), bubbly appearance, with significant lacing left behind. The aroma is of deep and dark-roasted barley malt, sugar, and brown bread crust. Taste is of dark-roasted barley malt, sweetness, and a bit of bitterness at the end. I do not taste coffee or chocolate, and I do not detect any alcohol with this one. Mouthfeel is medium, and Full Sail LTD 06 finishes mostly wet, refreshing, easy drinking, smooth, and very delicious.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: extremely dark amber-brown hue with ruby highlights and no haze to the body. Head is a thin finger of frothy tan foam. Quite good.

Smell: rich chocolate and coffee notes above a bready, yeasty lager base. There's also the vegetal hop aroma that comes along with roasty beers like porters -- not necessarily a bad thing, but not always alluring. So, overall, a little rough, but with a number of good qualities.

Taste: bready and chocolatey right up front; coffee flavors, yeasty flavors and a pretty strong bitterness develop toward the end. The coffee ends up being a high point; this is a lot of character in this beer, if, as in the aroma, it's a little rough around the edges.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a decent creaminess.

Overall: a good example of the style. It's kind of like a lager-yeasted porter -- something about which I can't complain.
