Its great to see Full Sail here in NC.Poured into a nonic a clear rich golden/brass with a frothy one and a half finger white head that settles very slowly.A mix of leafy/herbal hops and caramel/biscuit in the nose, neither win out but both play its own role.A mix of biscuit malt and "green" hops on the palate,to me it's almost like a small DIPA in its sweetness and herbal hops. This is an old school ipa,not Oregon in alot of ways but its very tasty and drinkable.

This IPA has a classic cascade nose, with a well-rounded citrus bouquet and just a touch of resin sticking to the back of the sinuses. Beer initially pours with a chill-haze, but goes crystal with warmth and glows a lovely new bronze. Head is a thin layer but keeps it alive.

This beer has nicely stacked flavors that all play on the palate simultaneously. Amazingly light but none the less bready malt is a great base for very subtle berry and ale fruit to cushion a great hop flavor...bitter, citric, floral. This is so light and balanced it seems more like a pale except for the way it brings the bitter at the end and coats the palate in hoppy goodness. I get only an occasional wisp of alcohol, which I love.

I'm kinda blown away here, this is an extremely refreshing IPA that really exceeded my expectaions and might have changed how I think about this style. Even though I'm pretty in love with this, I was gunna only give it a 4.5 for lacking heft. Really though, the bitterness, and other flavors are all there in ample quantites, it's just ridiculously balanced. This IPA has taught me a lesson this evening. I haven't quite figured it out, but I think it has to do with the role malt played here.

Mouthfeel is where I had to take points off, again, mainly being an issue of heft, or "oomph". While the carb on this beer was pretty decent, it was very light-bodied and bordered on watery. It didn't keep me from enjoying the beer obviously, and helped keep that impressive light and refreshing character, but to me body and mouthfeel are one of the main things seprating IPA from Pale Ale and this one just didn't quite bring it.

An average to a little better than average IPA.
In a pint glass a golden color beer with a tiny head and just a whisp of lace.
Not much aroma: sweet malt, floral and citrus hops. Not that fragrant.
More flavorful than the aroma promised. The hops and malt all came through much better.
Decent balance.
OK beer.

Pours a very clear, light golden with a very light beige colored head. Good retention. Aromas of citrus, cereal grains, lemon zest. Taste has flavors of citrus, more cereal grains and light biscuity malts, not too hoppy and finishes with a slightly off flavor...grainy funk-skunk? Middle-of-the-road carbonation and wet on the tongue and a bit watery....yet very mildly astringent. Drinks like a pale ale. Easy drinking yet nothing terribly special.

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

Massive tower of head with great retention. Clear golden color. Citric floral hop nose with a hint of blond tobacco, some fruitiness and graininess in the aroma as well. Smooth with a medium sized creamy body. Hop bitterness is there but more of a puckering pull rather than sharpness. Sweet floral to herbal to citric to mint is where the hop flavor brings the taste buds. Maltiness never jumps out with any sort of aggressive character, more of the foundation with simply complexities in tow. Bready to start then more of a nutty cracker grain flavor in the drying semi-bitter finish.

Perhaps a bit underrated IMO for an American IPA. Its not of the "in your face" kind of IPA but the hoppiness is there to let you know it is an IPA. As for the lighter cleaner side of malt, this is where the American IPA started so it is good to know some breweries have stuck with their old school roots.

12 ouncer , no freshness data offered on the label. Pours medium to lighter straw like amber. Off white head and leaves plentiful light/fine sheeting and lacing. Resiny hop nose, goes along with a moderate resiny opening note on the palate.Bready malts also make themselves know and add a nice attempt @ balance. Dry finish with a moderate hip bite. Nothing special going on here, just a drinkable, decent, session able, everyday IPA. Worked in a pinch while spending a weekend in a non exciting beer location.

Many thanks for absolutesites for this one....
Golden copper, almost orange in color with a full finger and a half of white head...sticks around for quite a bit w/ decent lace that slides back into the glass rapidly...very little remains on the side of the shaker glass.
Floral and spiced hops dominate the nose...very faint sweet malt in the background.
Bitter hops galore...reminding me of an English IPA more than the West Coast IPA's I tend to gravitate towards. Buttery toffee mixed in...and a hefty malt backbone keeping this one very well balanced.
Mouthfeel is average...definitely not too thin and the carbonation is where it should be.
I could enjoy a sixer of this in an evening no problem...very drinkable and a nice first for me from Full Sail.

Poured directly out of bottle into pint glass, pours a dark yellow with slight tint of amber, smells a little mild for an IPA but it does not have a high IBU so i cannot expect much hoppy smell.

Taste is very refreshing, many hints of fruit and floral hop flavor all while not being overpowered with pure hops like other IPAs. i am not usually a huge fan of IPAs but on this one the flavors really shine through, and mix well with the hoppy flavors. overall a great refreshing beer that is packed with flavor, and is really great on any day hot or cold.

Poured into an ale glass. A light amber-copper brew, slightly murky. Thin head, ring of lacing.

Nose is citrussy hops, honey, malt, vanilla, a hint of peach.

A smooth IPA, certainly enjoyable to drink, but milder than most. Good citrus notes here, finishes with a slightly bitter, peppery tang.

Crisp, a medium bodied IPA with great carbonation.

Pretty happy with this one. Not nearly as aggressively hoppy as other IPA's, but still quite enjoyable to drink. Almost pushing into pale ale territory.

Opened bottle, poured into Nonic glass.

Forms 1½" of frothy off-white head atop an clear amber colored brew.

Smell is piney hops after a minute, prior to that it has a skunky green bottle aroma, which is odd because it is a brown bottle. Nothing outstanding. Taste is mildly hoppy, nothing major. Slight citrus, but again, rather subdued. Mouth feel is fine and finish is quite short.

Not great, but I'd drink another if it was free.

Appearance: poured a goldenrod amber color , with a small white head , fair amount of lace left.

Smell: Fairly raw hoppy scent with citric and herbal qualities , bit of lemon rind and orange peel, mild malt , and a hint of alcohol.

Taste: Hops lead the show with citric focus , more lemon rind and hint at grapefruit , bit of oily hop character , the malt body is there but it is takes a back seat to the hops with just a bit of balancing cracker quality. Finishes mildly dry with a good helping of bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied , dry finish.

Drinkability: Definatly a drinkably IPA. Has the citric quality but this one seems to lean towards rind and lemon qualities. Refreshing , good buy for the price imo.

An okay IPA. Clear orange-gold pour with a good head. Claims to be very hoppy, but doesn't follow through. Faint grassy hops on the nose, with some honey and malt. Bitter, grassy hops in the taste, but no real citrus or grapefruit. Its all there, just not that strong. Dry finish.
