I guess my original review didn't save, in any case...

This is the first IPA I ever purchased, due to prestige of brewery and price. It makes a good starter IPA if you're wary of the super bitter, piney IPAs out there.

Poured into a Spiegelau glass:

L - reddish-orange with a good finger or two of head that dissipates quickly.

S - citrus, fruit, some biscuit malt and pine, more sweet than sharp/bitter like more pronounced IPAs.

T - Starts malty smooth, very fruity, almost like an amber, then has a slight hoppy finish to qualify it as an IPA.

M - Light/medium body, slight carbonation but a very drinkable session IPA.

O - As mentioned, a good starter IPA. Not too bitter, not too malty sweet. A good go-to IPA that's more like a pale ale, but definitely "tasty."

Poured into a plastic cup (desperate times call for desperate measures). Very beautiful color, amber with nice head. Not much of an aroma. Too carbonated. I feel like its not hoppy enough for an IPA but its drinkable and would be something that someone that doesn't normally like IPAs would like and would be able to drink. Refreshing. Had two but wouldn't buy it again.

This was my first offering from this brewery and I tend to be partial to IPA's and usually try any new one I can get my hands on. This didn't dissapoint with great color, smell and hits you with a mild hoppiness. I would pick up again.

Pours a very pretty golden orange hue with an offwhite head that leaves a lot of lacing. First smell is of citric fruits, lemon drop candy, floral hops, and fresh picked berries. Flavors of dry grain, grass, slight honey malt, and a hint of fruitiness to round things out. Mouthfeel is a tad bit thin, but overall I'd say this is underrated (likely due to the lack of in your face hops). Enjoyable and a great value.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Floral notes, herbal, with some light citrus tones on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light to medium bodied. Finishes with more floral hop notes and a touch of malt.

Poured a reddish orange color in a Spiegelau glass. 3F head which quickly diminished to 1F.

The aroma isn't very strong: malty, light citrus, a touch of sweetness.

The taste is excellent. Citrus, piney, possibly tropical fruit. Not sure of the hops- possibly some Mosaic.

Mouth feel and finish: excellent. Tangy, hoppy finish.

Overall: at a colder temp this beer is lackluster. At a warmer temp, the citrus, pine, and tangy MF really come through. The aroma could be a bit stronger. Otherwise, lots of flavor in this beer.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a pale orange color with a light foamy to bubbly white head. Minimal lacing slides into the beer.
The smell had some piney and earthy notes.
The taste was basically the same with a decent caramel and bitter background. There's a quick dry caramel finish.
The mouthfeel was a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation runs light and allows the bitterness to be the harshness adequately.
Overall, its an alright IPA, but somehow I see it more of an English one as there's not enough bitterness. I don't recommend this to hopheads.

Light and crisp - easy drinking. Nice beer to have in the middle of the day. Tastes good both chilled and at room temperature. I would call it more of a session IPA.

Poured a translucent copper/orange color; not much head and minimal lacing. Smells like malty pine needles and earth; tastes like citrus, pine, and wet sticks; finishes with a caramel and bitter backbone. There was also some peppery funk in the aftertaste as well. Felt medium to lighter bodied; crisp in a sense. Quaffable, yes! It was a decent IPA, but I've had better.

Poured from a 12oz brown glass bottle purchased in Portland, OR with an Enjoy By date of 09/28/15

Has a clear orange body with a chunky white head that dissipates rather quickly. However, it leaves behind an acceptable white lacing.

Piney aromas of heather, bran flakes, citrus, grass, steely metallic hops, soap, and baby diaper.

Malty, medium-bodied, and a bit disjointed. Sports an assertive and dry herbal finish.

A bit out of sorts, but not terrible.

This is barely an IPA to me but if it's supposed to be an English style IPA then I sort of get it. It has no overly impressive aroma and it tastes like dirt. I did not enjoy this beer at all.

A - Pours a golden orange color with one finger head. Decent head retention.

S - Pleasant to the nose. A mixture of spice and malt with little hoppy presence; notes of grapefruit as well. Fairly straightforward scent.

T - Not too much to the taste for me; feels overwhelmed due to the carbonation. Hints of malt and hop, similar to the scent.

M - Fairly light bodied beer. Very carbonated feel.

O - An average IPA for me. The carbonation was too harsh which I feel took away from the flavor. Drinkable but an average beer overall.

Bright golden with orange tint to it. White head of fair retention. Grainy, piny, a little spicy on the nose at first, mellows to lightly floral or soapy. Makes for dank drinking. A little too light and thin, and could be smoother. Crisp with nice not overly-prickly carbonation.

12 oz bottle

Pours an opaque light golden body with a 1/2 inch white head that dissolves quickly, some lacing

Faint smell, mostly malt with a little pine

Taste follows the smell. with a malt start that goes directly to a slightly bitter hop finish

Feel is thin and slightly prickly

Overall. Kind of a middle of the road-ish malt forward IPA .

Appearance: Pours light and blonde and golden, two finger white head, translucent.

Smell: A light perceptible hop aroma with golden malt smell.

Taste: The initial taste imparts very little in the way hop character, and as the beer opens up you pleasant sweet malt taste becomes apparent, and then it finishes with a slightly citrusy but not intensely bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: A fairly thin beer not only as far as hop flavor but also malt content.

Overall: I wouldn't consider this a genuine IPA. With such mild hop presence, this beer fails into the category of a slightly hoppy pale ale.

Smell: Faint piney hops

Taste: Moderate to mild resiny bitterness, well balanced. Some clean yeast flavor as well. Not sure if this makes sense, but the aftertaste reminds me of a lager.

Mouthfeel: Moderately thick, well carbonated. Has a creamy feel.

Overall: Nice easy-drinking pale ale. Probably a good place to start if you're curious about them, but don't want anything too hoppy.

A- decent bone white head that lasted a good bit. Light lacing. Fairly clear (a little cloudy right out of the bottle). Honey gold hue.

S- malts and spice. Clean.

T- a little sweet up front (surprisingly), then on to the bitterness. The notes on the nose don't really come through, unfortunately. Disappointing.

M- medium body.

O- okay, not great. Wouldn't go out of my way to have again. Many better options available.

Look: Slightly hazy, mostly clear. Light copper color. Pours with a finger head which fades quickly.

Smell: Aromas of citrus hops

Taste: Hops a bit more piney in flavor. A bit more bitter than the aroma suggests.

Feel: Light to medium bodied

at first it tasted like a standard wheat. then a bitterness starts mild. i was pleased, until the bitterness keeps expanding into horrible after taste bitter apple spray. overall i'd say they took a wheat beer and then put some dudes ass in the beer for a solid year.

I really wanted to like this. Friends recommended it. I love that the company is independently owned. It just didn't seem to have any outstanding characteristics.

I want to like this beer. I wish the hops were a bit more complex. That being said, I picked it up at Winn-Dixie for 6.99 a 6-pack which is awesome. Still better than most things you would find at a Winn-Dixie.

Poured a clear golden body with a half-finger white head. A very true to style IPA appearance. Scents of dank, earthy herbal hops, floral hop aromas with notes of jasmine, grass clippings and tea-like aromas with a bit of biscuit-like malt in the background. Overall impression of aroma is of an earthy, English hop sort of IPA. Very nice for the style, earthy and herbal. Flavor begins with medium bitterness and flavors of floral hops, earthy, herbal hops and notes of grapefruit peel and pith and hints of pine resin. Middle is bitter with notes of pine resin, grapefruit peel and pith and medium notes of floral and herbal hops. Finish is bitter with notes of resinous hops, pine resin, grapefruit peel and pith, light alcohol and earthy hops. Aftertaste is pine resin, grainy, biscuity malt. Overall impression of flavor is of a nice, earthy, dank IPA that also has a nice citrus presence with pine. Very well done. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium-light carbonation and a resinous, drying mouthfeel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a good IPA that is easy to drink. Overall this is a good IPA. Strong, bitter, resinous, herbal, floral and citrusy in aroma and flavor. A nice mouthfeel aids the experience. A good IPA well worth drinking.

Hmmmmm, this IPA is good at best. I sense not a lot of hop presents here. Malts do linger. Just not a lot going on here. This is drinkable. Carbonation is high. Aftertaste is dull but clean. With all the good IPA beers out there, one can afford to be critical. The good thing is the finish. I do get a specific but shallow scent of hops. Lacing is good. This beer is doable. Okay, just had my second brew and seems to be improving. Head has taken on a deeper hue showing some purity. Lacing is a bit stickier.

Update. The beer is good. Had the beer again with a clean palate. Like the orange hue to the beer. The finish is good. Lacing is excellent. Not a lot of hop presents, but there. Went down fast. Price is right to. Not overly complex but good none the less...

Pours a really nice looking golden color with a shade of orange. The only drawback was the lack of a big head and lacing that didn't retain. Malty, bready and raw grain in both aroma and taste. The hops element is prominent but not as aggressive as other IPAs. The hops felt leafy and oily. Very smooth, medium bodied and slightly slick. A nice solid and more subtle ipa that I'd like to get to know more of.

Pours a golden color worth a three finger eggshell white head. The nose is strange. The hops are lemon and pepper and a soft soapy smell. A thick biscuit malt. The flavor fallow the smell. Toffee and biscuit malt with lemon hops. This is far too malt balanced for an American ipa.
