Pours a finger of head on a clear straw colored body.
The aroma is mild hay and grain. Not much going on.
The taste has a building lemon and grapefruit bitterness, with a sweet start. It has a good malt backbone.
The body is thicker with moderate carbonation.
The smell was lacking but everything else was good.

This is a decent but by no means amazing IPA. LIttle to no aroma from the bottle. Tastes like a classic IPA--hoppy and carbonated--although more understated that most. Silky and smooth mouthfeel after the first wave of carbonation. Not a lot of different flavors going on for me (at gunpoint I would say this is mildly piney), but pleasant and easy to drink. I wouldn't buy this again but I'll enjoy the bottles I already have.

Appearance: Golden honey color with a modest, quickly dissipating eggshell white foam head about of about two fingers. It looks great in the glass and appears to have plenty of carbonation. A respectable amount of lacing is present.

Smell: Very 'piney' and 'hoppy', distinctive and expected of this style. A few hints of grapefruit and generic 'citrus' scents on a closer inspection and quite appetizing. Otherwise, nearly absent or not notable.

Taste: It definitely tastes like an IPA, albeit not as much as expected. An odd balance of maltiness here and there with the hops presence. Quite bitter, I believe it tastes very much like grapefruit with a punch of grassy hops to linger about towards the end. A few sips later and it's still steady. A clean and non-lingering aftertaste.

Mouth-feel: A bit on the lighter side, but not too light. Despite all the bubbles, it actually has a lot less carbonation than I would have expected from an IPA. On the smooth side and quite drinkable.

Overall: A decent offering from Full-Sail, although it's a little underwhelming for what I expected out of this. Not bad in any sense of the word, but there are definitely better examples of this style out there. Merely average, I'd say of this one. If there was nothing better around, I'd pick it up more often.

Notes: Poured into a clean U.S.-style tumbler from a glass bottle, served slightly chilled.

Understated IPA. Medium golden color, pours with a good head that dissipates fairly quickly. Hoppy but not incredibly so. Drinkable. Crisp, light mouthfeel, malt is also understated. I would drink this as a session beer, you could have 2 or 3 and be fine.
