12 oz bottle, one from a sixer from Fred Meyer in Salem. $7.49 (6). Clear handsome copper beer with a nice sized thick and frothy creme coloured head. Good full malty aroma, per style, caramel, hay a little nutty. Good. Malty yet somehow balanced taste..sweet with overlaying bitterness..semi dry finish.. Only thing it tastes more alcoholic than it says it is! Palate is fine..good enough for style. Good beer but not the greatest Okto

Beautiful pour - awesome orangey - copper color, that is crystal clear, thin white head, soft bubbles. It like sun in a glass, almost like fire. An easy drinking beer for warm early autumn afternoons that turn cool the moment the sun goes down.
A = 4.75 - really a very pretty pour.
S = 3.25 - not much going on hear, which isn't too surprising for the style
T = 4 - easy drinking, mallty, a bit more hops than other O'fest beers, which is a plus
M = smooth, soft, due to the malts, sweet on the tongue.
O = 4 - this is in comparison to others in its style, not compared to all other beers.

A: 4.5 - Lovely pour, reddish amber color, clear, with a substantial, dense head of foam atop it.
S: 4.0 - Good malt profile, nutty, a little toasty. Solid on-style.
T: 4.0 - On the bitter end of the style, but not so much hops as to disguise the key component of the flavor: the malt, which is rich and bready. Very tasty.
M: 4.0 - Good body and mouthfeel, but not heavy.
O: 4.25 - Really good Oktoberfest, one of the best I've had in recent years.

Clear, coppery orange with a foamy, off white head.

Strong caramel notes in both aroma and taste, becomes a bit much at times. Grassy, lightly herbal hops.

Medium body, foamy mild carbonation.

Not bad, but the caramel sweetness was a bit much for my personal taste and would prevent me from trying it again.

Pours an effervescent copper with 3+ fingers of cream colored head. Nice head retention & lacing

S: Pears, faint graininess,

T: Pears & sweet graniness up front, a little bit of herbal hops. Some astringency, pears, apricot & brown bread as this warms. Finishes sweet & grainy

MF: Medium bodied, firm carbonation

Alright, but not one I would reccomend

Clear orange with a small off white head and small dots and fingers of lace. Smell is malty bread crusts a bit of yeast funk and some herbal hops.
Taste is similar to the smell. Malty but not overly sweet. Six pack recipe says: malts- 2 row pale, munich, caramel. Hops- Czech saaz, Yakima Glacier. And 26 IBU.
Would not have guessed the 26 IBUs so the malt bill must have supressed the hops. Tastes like about 15-18 IBUs. Medium body good carbonation and refreshing. There is a long light bitterness in the finish. Overall I will probably buy this again most likely next year.

12 oz bottle pours a clear amber color with a modest cap of off-white head. Not much for retention and lace.

Nose is sweet malt and caramel, little bit of toffee. It has a lighter malt aroma and a touch more hops than many American marzens. More grainy/honey than the darker burnt caramel of Sam Adams for example.

Taste is grainy and toasty with a refreshing burst of grassy hop bitterness on the end. This one falls somewhere in between a lighter festbier and the heavily malted Americanized marzens. I like it...not overly sweet and strikes a good balance. Sulfurous lager yeast is apparent as well. Im on the fence as to whether I would go back for a repeat purchase...I think I would, especially if I dont get around to it until next September.
