We have visited this oregon staple a few times over the last year. As one of oregons founders, leaders, and innovators of craft beer its nice to see that they dont have a very high end thought of themselves like some other brewery's.

A huge warehouse building near downtown, sprawling over a few blocks, its quite the sight. Entering the brewpub itself down a wavy hallway, its very inviting, open and has a great view of the river.

Service has always been friendly, very knowledgable, and helpful. Food is pretty good, a bit higher end for the area I would say, but still rather inexpensive and delicious. Beers seem to be the regular lineups, with a few seasonals, and one of's. I wish they would have more than just the regulars, I love to go to a well established company and try beer that is not well established at all, but having a pint of even something classic where its brewed is still great.

The tour is really where this place shines, one of the best we have been on. Very knowledgable, able to answer questions, and you even get a free pint glass at the end! We've been on it twice, once was a day when the plant wasnt really operating, the second they were in full production. Unlike many other brewery tours you get to be right beside everything, right in the middle of the action versus walking on high balconies just watching.

Wonderful place overall, wish it was closer so we could visit more often.

Touristy. Family friendly. A “safe” place to visit in Hood River. We stopped on a Saturday around 11:30 and the lunch rush was starting. A handful of families were having lunch and groups of people were enjoying beers looking at the awesome view.

Plenty of beers on-tap, great variety. My fresh hop pilsner was killer!

We didn’t eat. The food did look good, for what that’s worth…

The vibe, while, touristy, was nice… warm and laidback. Our bartender was quick and friendly.

I’d visit again and recommend it. Not a beer geek destination but if you are in the area you’d be foolish not to visit.
