330 ml bottle, 4,5% abv.
Poured in a Tripel Lefort glass. at around 6 degrees celsius. Transparant yellow-golden.. Small one finger head, fast dissolving. Light carbonation.
Smell, honey and malts.
Mouthfeel, little bit on the thick side.
Taste follows smells, Very sweet followed by intense bitter malts.. Some skunky sulfor aftertaste.
Malt and honey do not really go well together.
Have tasted better beers of Budels.

300 ml bottle, poured into a lager glass at home. ABV 4,5%
Deep golden in colour, with one finger of hite head, going down straight away, but leaving eventually a thin film to cover the beer's surface. Average activity in the glass.
Heavy aroma of honey, along with lots of malts.
The taste is much better. Quite sweet of course, with the honey flavour being quite intense. Very slight bitterness on the aftertaste.
Medium on the body, average carbonation.
I don't think it could be my favourite but it was somewhat enjoyable. It would be even better though if the honey taste was more discreet and not so straight-in-your-face.

33 cl. bottle of fizzing beer. golden colour, thin head, disappearing quickly. not much carbonation left afterwards.
Smell and taste are a bit disappointing: grassy hops, some honey (i wonder what kind). For the rest, it's just a bit malty liquid.
Aftertaste is very sweet.

For a specialty beer, it's pretty ordinary: the one defining characteristic, that of honey, is hardly doing the business..

A: Light golden in color with damn near no head.

S: Very sweet. Honey on top of malt. It's hard to smell past the honey.

T: Wow, just like the smell, it's almost all honey. You can tell that it's a beer, but it just tastes like a very weak beer with lots of honey in it. With that, other than it being really too sweet, the flavor is nice.

M: Slight carbonation sting, but the honey sits on your tongue as expected, perhaps a bit smoother.

D: The sweetness almost kills it. It's a theorhetically nice flavor, but too much for a beer. Most mixed beers I've had were less sweet.

Having tasted a lot of Budels beers I can say that this is not the worst. ( The reviews are a little harsh). Bright yellow and an apple juice like nose aren't exactly endearing but the taste is pretty balanced with a sweetness that is not out of control. Not great but not bad either.

This beer pours a golden color with a very small head and some easy-going carbonation.

Smell is all honey, backed up by some maltiness. No real other tastes in here, except maybe the smells associated with the honey like peach and some tobacco.

Taste is honey with more malt than the smell would suspect. The beer has a slight fruity taste and some peach. Body is medium and somewhat sweet and sticky. Although the beer is merely dominated by the honey, this is not as bad as the other reviewers say. This is a decent honey beer!

Very pale yellow colour with a short-lived, rocky, white head. There were a couple spots of lace, but that didn't last long. Weak aroma with a bit of sweetness and hop. Honey is there if you really look for it. Tastes mostly like carbonated water, but there's mild honey and a bit of sweetness towards the end. Thin and watery with moderately low carbonation. There really isn't much here.

The appearance is of apple juice with very light carbonation...no crown, no added colour...simply apple juice.
The aroma is of fresh yeast right from the sack.
The body is very thin.
The taste is like dry cardboard, fortunatly that does not last too long either, ending very dry.
Beware.

Very pale yellow colour with no head. None. Well, a few bubbles, but I get more when I more my Pepsi out. Smells a bit sweet, malty. No honey scent. Tastes rather subdued. Bit of a honey aftertaste. Mouthfeel is watery and light. Not much to say, really. Boring, dull beer.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow beer with almost no carbonation or head. Aroma is weak, almost like water. Taste of bad corn with watery feeling covering everything else. Another terribly bad beer from this brewery. Why do they bother brewing stuff like this is behond me, I would probably have a macro beer over this every day?

Pours a pale, straw yellow, no head. Just not a very attractive beer. Aroma of honey and not much else. Pleasant smelling, just not like a beer - no hops, no malt. I actually enjoyed this beer though. Taste was light, crisp, sweet honey, a bit of malt/grain. The honey sweetness made it easy to drink. More like a softdrink than anything else. Wouldn't recommend it, but never had a beer with this much honey in it.

Appearance: pour an extremely pale yellow. the head is flat and unappealing. this looks exactly like a glass of apple juice.

Smell: very unassuming...in fact, simply dull. with no detectable hints of anything i struggle to find even a drop of honey in the nose.

Taste: bland and one-dimensional. however, the honey does kick in here. a little sweetness mid sip that lingers somewhat. otherwise, quite a disappointing beer. hmmmm, almost like flat gingerale really.

Mouthfeel: watered down. flat. light and too smooth. no body, no texture.

Drinkbility: why would you even ant to have more than one? nuff said.

Pours up just like ginger ale – same colour and carbonation, same spritzy, short lived head. Quickly chameleons into a perfectly good representation of apple juice .

Very slight hint of malt and hops in the nose. Noticeably sweet odour of honey(?), but mostly smells like, well – apple juice.

Tastes like water that's had hops waved over top of it. Or maybe some horribly feeble, trying to be dry, bad white wine.
Not actively unpalatable or offensive. Just one of those "Why the hell did we bother?" beers. Without redemption.

Budels is now 0 for 2 with me. Stay tuned.

Pours an incredibly pale straw color, much akin to the Budels Pils. Theres a tiny shortlived head and no lace. The aroma is of honey and a nice biscuit maltiness with no real hops present. The taste is crisp with a very good malt structure and a very noticeable honey flavor and a little hop aroma and bitterness. The taste is a lot like Fuller's Honey Ale. The finish is somewhat like a sweet cider the way the honey flavors, malt and hops blend together. The mouthfeel is kind of thin yet also viscous. This is quite a drinkable honey ale.
