look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

Pours a finger and half of head on a dark red/straw colored body. Looks great.
The aroma is rich grain with a multitude of spice.
The taste is malt sweetness that is tempered mid-way by lemon bitterness. Great balance.
The texture is soft with moderate carbonation.
This is one of the more drinkable Scottish that I've had.

look: 4.25 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Pours a clear very dark brown with cranberry edges and tones. Thick, puffy and sustained off white head. Nice looking.

Nose is purple plums and roasted grains, with almost a sweet fruit tone.

Mouth feel is light carbonation and medium bodied.

Flavor profile is bold and assertive roasted grain, bitter cooked stone fruit. A decent brown bitter tone, with an English Bitter type of brown ale finish.

Not bad but nothing special.
