This beer has been brewed by the Friese brouwerij in Friesland where things are done a little different than the rest of Holland.
Appearance is a dark brown color with a very small head that leaves a ring.
Smell is malty with definate dark malts and some roast, a good caramel smell and a slight metallic smell.
Taste is roasted and a little too much burned. A good malt base complemented with caramel. Slight sweet and sticky mouthfeel, which is also very smooth.

BB 09-06. Beer has brown beercollor but shows enormous haze that gives it a white taint in the brown beer. Minimal head and very fast disappearing. Nose is far from fresh giving tomatojuice in a further ok nose. Very malted, lots of coffee, litle smoked and carramellic taste with high and hanging partly phenolic bitterness. Very full and bombastic mouthfeel without being sweet makes this one actually remakable. Low carbonisation fitting. Drinkable and something else well worth seeking out if there wasn't this unpleasant nose to it. Still no bad brew that won bokbeertastings in 2004. This year IMO litle less.
