This McMenamin's is walking distance from where I'm currently staying, so that's pretty key for me and I've spent some time there. It's located very close to the UofO campus. They are part of an Oregon chain of brew pubs. Right now they are renovating a bit so that they'll have more outdoor seating, which will be nice. Inside is quite spacious though, with adequate and separate restaurant and bar areas. It's kind of dark, unless you are seated in the front next to the windows. They have a pretty good selection of sandwiches, but not much else, and always have about 10 or so beers on tap. It's not quite as fun an atmosphere as the McMenamin's on High St. in Eugene, so if you're in Eugene for just a short time, I'd go there instead. This atmosphere is more of a typical chain restaurant.

This is one of my favorite places to go with friends after Duck games. It's walking distance to campus and has a nice laid back atmosphere. They just finished a big renovation and they did it right. They now have two pool tables, a snooker table, a great old fireplace/furnace with rap-around seating and more outside tables, one with a fire pit built into the floor. Very cool.
They have a good selection of McMenamin's beers brewed in Eugene at their High Street Brewery (also worth the stop) and have some rotating guest taps as well. Food is basic bar fare, although they've started to make wood-fired pizzas now with the new place finished.
One major caveat. Service is laughably bad. It always seems like the wait staff is pissed off and you are ruining their day by ordering food. Then, it will take a while to get your food, cuz they doubled the size of the resturant without adding any space to the old kichen, so you know the cooks are pissed. But don't let that stop you. It's a great place and is a favorite among the locals, which means it will always be hoppin.
