Draught: Now this was a different beer. It was kind of a golden color. There wasn't a whole lot of head. The nose is vanilla and only vanilla. Nothing else could get through. There is an initially a sweet taste containing the vanilla, but it immediately gives way to a dry and unsweet taste. Some malts to the taste, but no sweetness or bitterness. DIFFERENT. This was OK, but it's not for me.

If you are ever in Rockford, IL you must try this beer. Easy to drink and will keep you coming back for more. Wonderful vanilla aroma but not too sweet or overwhelming. A well done ale.

I had a glass of this on-tap on site. This pours a medium brown color with a foamy white head. The scent of vanilla is quite evident. Upon tasting there isn’t as much vanilla in the flavor as the scent would indicate, the rest of the taste is that of bland earthy grains. The taste does grow on you as you drink but still it could be better. Finishes off a little chalky and dry.

Had this one on tap at Carlyle Brewing on 10/11/2008.

A= This cream ale poured a hazy, deep-yellow / pale gold color reminiscent of some of Leinenkuegel beers (Sunset Wheat comes to mind). The creamy white head started at 3/4" and dropped to a skim.

S= This beer was pretty one dimensional in the aroma department. The vanilla overpowers almost all else.

T= As you would expect from the smell, vanilla sweetness was the predominant flavor. Slight maltiness peaked out here and there.

MF= Highly carbonated and crisp. Light to medium body.

D= A bit cloying for my palate, yet my wife loved it. Certainly easy to drink without a lot of "beery" flavor for those looking for that.

Wierd stuff. Looks like beer. Regular, yellow beer. Decent enough head, lasts long enough. Smells like vanilla, and that about all. Taste is not hoppy in the least. Maybe a tiny touch of light malt, but mainly vanilla, with a strange almond aftertaste. Mouthfeel is fairly average, but the almond aftertaste adds an odd character to the feel. I'm sure they hit the nail on the head with this one, at least in terms of what they were trying for. Not my style, but my wife loves it.
