(Served in an American Pint Glass with slice of lemon which was quickly discarded)

A- Nice murky orange body with a white creamy head.

S- Smells of smooth wheat

T-This has a nice creamy wheat flavor with notes of Banana and cloves both in balance

M- Medium mouthfeel with no real fizziness.

D-This is a really nice wheat beer maybe more Belgian than German but it was well put together and a nice drink.

This is the former Port Washington Hefe Weiss. Brewmaster Jeff Kolar has moved to his own brewpub, Hops Haven Brew Haus in Sheboygan, and has renamed his draft-only beers to match. The usual hefe spice flavors are not as "in your face" as, say a Hacker Pschorr or any other American micro trying to imitate it. Instead, they're in a very pleasant proportion to the beer flavors, and there's even a slight nutty aspect. The usual slice of lemon adds a little zest to the last part of the glass. Excellent work for a brew operation that just moved and reopened after several months.
