It's hard to not like a place with so many interesting beers, pleasant staff, and a friendly atmosphere. About two dozen beers on tap, and as usual, always something new and strange. The Pizza Port beers are inexpensive and come in every flavor and style. They make a variety of Milds and lighter beers which are better than average. I have not really been disappointed by any of their beers, but they compete with so many intriguing brews from California and beyond, plus there are always a few Belgians and generally a German beer or two. They had DF Festina Peche, which I had not seen before on tap, and a roster of strong ales.

They have some quite interesting pizzas they name after their locations. I liked the Ocean Beach pizza, which is all kinds of unusual vegetables plus bacon. And I eat pizza about as often as I eat mince meat pie. Great crust, I think they have this down to a science.

I go to the Ocean Beach location a lot, and it's usually a pleasant experience. This one in San Clemente is a little funkier, but somehow more jolly. It's the only beer place I come to in this part of southern California. Service is cheerful and even the most unlikely-looking barmaid is knowledgeable about the beers. A great town and worth a stop if you're heading to or from San Diego. (1,292 characters)

Definitely get the Swami's IPA when you're there, its an OG IPA from the earliest days of the San Diego brew scene.

Very cool vibe. I was there on a bright sunny day, so the view was gorgeous. Chill pizza place right off the beach. Eclectic decor, a lot of beer related decorations.

House beers were great quality, as were all the guest taps. Great overall beer list. Pizza was really tasty and fresh.

Service was okay, nothing special but nothing negative.

Selection was great. As mentioned, the beer list was awesome in quality. The quantity was there too with a wide assortment of styles. I did a few flights to get a look at the kind of stuff they were making and was impressed. (686 characters)

Stopped there twice in one week while camping just outside of San Clemente. The first time, we had pizza and I had a Swami IPA. Very good experience. The people there were very friendly and the food was solid. It was family friendly and plenty of food to pick from. Same for beer. I had higher expectations for the guest taps but I guess you just have to be there at the right time. Regardless, there was still a lot of beer choices, especially their own. The second trip once again was outstanding. It was in the middle of the week and during the afternoon so it was quite and slow at the time. We ate at the second level and ended up talking to a friendly couple that sat at a table next to us. Overall, it was a very good experience and recommend any family to visit the place for the food and beer. (802 characters)
