My main beer store and THE king of craft beer in Ithaca (and from what I can tell, the best thing between Rochester and Poughkeepsie). The store is conveniently located right off the highway but also right in town, easy for anyone to get to.

Beer is arranged by country of origin in aisles. Discounts / bargains are at the front of the store right when you walk in; they usually have a sale on some odd macro (rarely cases, I mean 22 oz Buds or a case of 7 oz Coors Light cans etc.) and a few micros that are going out of season or need to get some turnover. Recently this has been anything from Woodchuck cider to Mackeson XXX stout to mixed summer seasonals (Magic Hat, Sam Adams, etc.). These prices are good, expect $19 for a case.

Great selection although they are missing some hard to gets (3Floyds, etc) but no one is perfect. Macros are found way in the back, in coolers, along with some cold micros that may not be in the main part of the store (some Stone bombers for instance) so make sure you walk the whole thing.

Service is good, they are nice folks who try most of the time. They'll admit when they aren't sure about something. They sell me sorted, boxed bombers for my homebrew needs for $.10 apiece, saves me time and effort. They have also been nice about returning keg taps late, just give them a call to let them know.

Around 10 growler lines, ranging from $7-13 to fill. They sell cheap growlers (the jugs themselves) also and have a growler club, 10 fills gets you the 11th free and $1 off on Mondays. Bottom of the growler line is stuff like Post Road Pumpkin, top is Victory Golden Monkey, these rotate frequently though and usually have some seasonals.

Great keg list, they have mostly macros cold and ready to go but if you order in advance they can pick you up an astounding selection, although it might cost you (Allagash is $180, not sure what most primo kegs cost other places). Also a nice selection of glassware and they sell bags of ice and packs of cups for kegs.

I do get patronized sometimes though as a younger consumer, and when I went in to order Crazy Ed's Cave Creek Chili, an employee I'd never seen before said they didn't carry it, when I've gotten it there before. He had no idea what beer I was talking about, in fact, even though the store had sold it for years.

The biggest and best beer place in the area; Ithaca Coffee's beer section is just like a miniature version of this, but is the only place comparable in town.

Lots to choose from. Great local NY selection and some stuff from the West coast assuming the breweries distribute. They drive to NYC to get some more obscure selections.

The remodel is about complete and Wow! This store rocks. It is laid out very nicely with over a 1000 different beers. Everything is new, clean and the lighting is much improved. They added tons of coolers and doubled or tripled the square footage. The World class rating can now apply for sure.

So. You like beer, eh? Imagine you lived a perfect life. You did good deeds, practiced self-sacrifice and gave charity, you once gave the shoes you were wearing to that homeless guy on the Commons. Then, you're hit by a bus (TCAT, of course... those damn wide turns). What is your reward for the sacrosanct life you've led? 42 virgins awaiting you in paradise? Assuming a just God, I'd have to think that heaven would actually resemble... Finger Lakes Beverage Center.

I defy you to find a place with a bigger selection, wider variety, and more amazing shopping experience for buying beer. Over a thousand beers to choose from. No, really. A thousand DIFFERENT beers. Pretty much all of those are sold as SINGLES! Now, if you want to see a grown-ass man prance down the isles of a store like a 5 year old in Toys 'R Us, this is the place. Pull up your Beer Advocate wish list. Pick one of those, one of that, and that, and omg TWO of THOSE.

Sure, you can build a six pack at Wegmans, but you have to buy in multiples of six and the selection is not even a 10th as good. Yes, that cool gas station on Green St. sells singles with no minimum, and yes it's craft beer, but their selection is what... like 20 choices? This is the only place I know of in Upstate NY where you can shop on a pint-by-pint basis for beer and choose from the entire universe of beer. No, you won't find Heady Topper or Pliney the Elder, but you're not going to find that anywhere else around here, either, and if you would, it would be here. Yes, Ithaca Coffee Company has a great selection and they also sell singles, but as awesome as that is it doesn't come close to FLBC.

The store has recently been expanded and now has a vast refrigerated section. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and openly condones practices that I used to try and hide, like secretly replacing a bottle from a chilled six pack with a warm single (they are totally fine with you taking a chilled single and don't even require you to replace it with a warm one, but you should replace it anyway... it's just good beer etiquette.

They not only fill growlers with a tap selection of around 8-10 offerings that rotate regularly, but they also allow samples. Have a sample of what's on tape while you ponder what to buy. They aren't a bar, so you can't get a pint, but a little taste is just good for stimulating the taste buds.

Ithaca is extremely lucky to have a place like this and it speaks to the thriving nature of craft beer culture in the Finger Lakes and in Ithaca that this place exists and is itself thriving.

This place had a great selection. The owner was very helpful and nice. They had good selection of local stuff I can't get in chicago. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
I only gave it a 3 for atmosphere because they where doing construction but from the looks of it the store should be great after they are done.

Great beer store, stopped in on my trip to Ithaca.

Bit of an industrial warehouse look to it. 5-6 aisles of all craft beers. Packs can be broken up into singles, no problem. Every typical craft beer you can think of is here, along with a few more choice selections scattered throughout. No service to speak of- not bad or good, just none. No help in selecting my brews, even though I didn't really need it. Cashier seemed friendly enough, though. Prices were ok, not great, not bad.
