How very interesting that this has only been reviewed once, in bottle format, and the picture is of a CAN that is not one of mine. Things that make you say "Hmmmm". Another Euro trade from a fellow relocating from upstate New York to somewhere around Downingtown. I CANnot seem to dredge up his name from the soupy swamp that is my mind.

From the CAN: "Staerkol; Beer; Biere; Bier; Bierra; Cerveza; Piwo" and "Naturalnie Z Pomorza (naturally from Pomerania)". Good stuff!

Another CAN that seemed to explode with foam upon experiencing The Crack! Wow! First off, it is NOT a Dark Lager, so I will be submitting a change request. Instead, it was a slightly cloudy lemon-yellow and the nose smelled like simple lager, free of adjuncts to get in the way of my enjoyment. The head was big and fluffy, like Marshmallow Fluf, very dense with great retention. JacktheRipper's avatar reminds me of this. Wow, I got a VERY different taste than what I was expecting! This was actually spicy, like black pepper and anise. I am highly impressed and this would be most excellent with pretzels, which I just happen to have in abundance. This was quite good and if I could get more in the next few days, it would be worthy of inclusion in Hula in the Coola Day (01 Feb, annually).

Pours a yellowish gold with a thin white head that barely covers the top of the glass. Smells like mild grain (barley?) and adjuncts (or perhaps very weak grain), with a little bit of bland hopping. Taste is a sticky malt that is both bland and mild, with a touch of honey. Hops are barely noticeable, though they seem to round out the flavor. The malt flavor has a few very minor distinguishable flavors - caramel and honey. Still, the taste is fairly clean and crisp, and the honey/caramel flavors are the only ones that stay as an aftertaste. Extremely drinkable, enhanced by the very moderate carbonation.
