Pours a cloudy, amber color. One inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of roasted malt, sweet malt, euro yeast, slight hop, slight citrus, hint of spice, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of a Belgian Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, pale malt, hint of wheat, euro yeast, slight hop, hint of alcohol, and a hint of biscuit. Overall, good appearance, aroma, feel, body, and blend.

Aroma: huge spicy aroma, combination of hops and yeast character. White wine, pear, floral. No DMS, no diacetyl.

Appearance: Golden to copper with some haze. There is a lot of sediment even with only half a bottle pour. White head.

Flavor: Sweet and bitter and esters balanced nicely. Big earthy hop flavor, no citrus. Interesting different from everyday big citrus and pine flavors. No DMS, no diacetyl.

Mouthfeel: Medium body and medium-high carbonation. Medium dry body.

Overall: Nice interesting blonde that is European hop forward.

A. It has a dark gold color, with some bubbles. It's opaque. It has a thick foamy white head and some lacing. It is gelatinous and lots of sediment.

S. It has a grassy and orange scent.

T/M. It has a soft, grassy taste. It has a slight wheat taste. It's a bit of a fruity grape underneath. Kind of soapy. Carbonated and medium bodied.

O. Very similar to the American Blonde version, but just a bit more tame.

Poured from an 11.2 oz brown bottle into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. No obvious freshness date. Purchased at Wine Warehouse (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Honey-gold hue with 1-finger of nearly white slightly foamy but short-lived head with tons of floaties and only a pittance of lacing. It doesn't look like a hoppy beer.

S: The aroma is fruity with spicy and herbal-grassy hops. Fruits include pear and banana. Overall though, the aroma is very light and on the yeasty side.

T: Good flavor, definitely tends toward sweet and not too bitter. THe maltiness is more grainy thatn in the nose but still fairly fruity and sweet with banana and Golden Delicious apple along with some pear. There are floral, herbal, lightly grassy, and spicy hops notes. THe yeast esters are strong, a little too much for me. THe bitterness is mild, just enough to keep the sweetness from being overbearing.

M: Light-bodied and a little creamy. Moderately dry and some lingering sweetness with lightly bitter mineral quality in the finish.

O: Not a bad beer but nothing special for $5.49.

A: Pours a murky, dark marmalade color reminiscent of crystallized honey. Frothy white head with moderate lacing.

S: Sweet malts in the nose with notes of honey. Subtle banana aromas emerge as well; yeasty.

T: Very dry malts greet the palate, followed by a pleasant Belgian yeastiness which is balanced by a pronounced bitterness. Clean finish with just a touch of lemon pith and black pepper.

M: Medium bodied and well carbonated.

O: A faithful rendition of a Belgian blonde with a bitter, zesty finish for an interesting twist. Delicate and delicious if a bit overly bitter for the style.

A: The beer is hazy and a dark shade of golden yellow in color. It somewhat resembles a snow globe with lots of small yeast particles floating in suspension and being circulated around by the carbonation. The beer poured with a two finger high white head that gradually died down and left a short, dense head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of earthy yeast are present in the nose along with some notes of peppery spices.
T: The taste resembles the smell, but is more complex having additional notes of biscuit and grainy malts, hints of floral hops and a very slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink. The initial taste kind of reminded me like an American Blonde Ale but instead of becoming bland the flavors of this beer got a whole lot more interesting.

Pours a hazy deep yellow to orange-ish color with a white head. In the aroma, a mellow candy sugar. In the taste, some mellow hop presence, and a small candy sugar presence. A small hop bite and a medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a small dry banana and fruity like aftertaste. Nothing really too exciting, but done decently well.

On tap at Teresa’s Next Door. Served in a tulip. Clear golden. Spice plus some earthy hops. Bit of pepper. Some mild stone fruit behind that. Light and crisp. Easy drinking.
