on tap at the brewpub in Reedsburg. pours black with minimal off white head that is reduced to a soapy rim that sticks around for the duration. decent retention and no lacings.
aroma is of deep roasted malts with lactic undertones and a black malt character. a standard milk stout in the nose, without any real defining qualities. a light note of chocolate shows up after a bit of warming.
taste follows the nose almost verbatim. finishes with a lactic and roasted note. aftertaste is of residual sweet black malts.
mouthfeel is full bodied and smooth on the palate with a slick texture and a finish that sits on the palate.
drinkability is good. a standard milk stout with no real defining characteristics to call its own. still, this is a solid example of the style with decent drinkability.

Wow! This is wonderful, just wonderful. Im floored that this came from little Reedsburg. This beer is huge!
Appearance: Thick black tar with a thin auburn-white head. It could use a little more head.
Smell: Oats and cream. Chocolate, loads of sweet milk chocolate. Hersheys syrup and a little mochachino tossed in for a twist.
Taste: Heavy whipping crème, a touch of rich sweet chocolate syrup and a pinch of coffee. Oats and sweet roasted malts with just the right amount of hops to give this a slightly bitter, slightly dry ending.
Mouthfeel: Perfect. Like drinking a milkshake or the leftover milk in the bottom of a bowl of your favorite cereal.
Drinkability: Through the roof. I could drink this beer all day. In fact, I just did. Its amaizing. It feels like heavy whipping crème yet it never filled me up.

Pours a black color, with a good half-inch sized head, that condensed to a thick creamy layer atop the beer. It stuck around through the whole glass, layering sheets of bubbles on the glass as it receded.
Aroma is of the milk chocolate variety, some roast character (very mild) and a touch of sweetness giving a coffee creamer-like quality to the beer.
The beer tastes delicious. Starts out with a thick, creamy chocolate infused coffee, but the roast character definitely takes a back seat, only contributing to the mild coffee tones, rather than leading to an RIS-like roastiness. Milk chocolate and a nice creamy texture.
I love the mouthfeel on this beer, rich and creamy. The flavors are right on target, and being one who dislikes overly roasty milk stouts, I love the lack of roast character in this beer. Well balanced and easy drinking. A great beer from Corner Pub!
