What a mess! But that adds to the charm. Cramped beer aisle that spills out into adjacent floor space that demands time to properly peruse. Lots of fresh cans of Rhinegeist and Mad Tree with a big selection of the Frog. There's Alesmith and a wide selection of West and Midwest brews to be found but a lot of it is very dated. Keep your eyes peeled for good stuff and old stuff. Oh - and watch out for the mess.

This is my go to place in cincy due to location. Good? well no, it's truly a mess and if you want the best you'll have to dig. The place is truly a mess, way too small for the amount of product.

That said friendly staff, even if annoying at times. They get a decent amount of volume. A large selection and good to go.

Good selection of the beers unavailable in Kentucky. Several hard to find options including bombers from The Bruery, Mikkeller, Jackie O's "one of's", limited Ballast Point, Three Floyds, AleSmith, and a pretty substantial selection of sours/lambics. They also offer a variety of individual 12 oz. bottles you can mix & match allowing customers to try a variety of beers without purchasing 6-packs. Gets kind of busy and the cold beer selection is limited, but overall a very good store.

Typically have a good selection even if you had to dig through to find it. The place if very cluttered sort of like walking through an old antique store. The folks behind the counter are quite friendly but no where near knowledgeable beer experts. They typically get limited releases and limit them appropriately. If they could better organize their stock it would make it a much more enjoyable shopping experience.

Easy to miss liquor/beer store in a strip mall. Also easy to write off/dismiss if just driving past. However, very large selection of bottles (both bomber and six packs), and they often get in rare bottles (that tend to go quickly). They also allow you to pull singles from six packs, which is great! Definitely the best part of this place. Staff is friendly and always willing to help you out, but not terribly beer knowledgeable.

Stopped into this store last week and was quite impressed. Its a smaller store and everything seems to be shoved into wherever they can find room for it. I am a big fan of shopping for make your own six pack beers and they have a great selection. The other thing that makes this a really cool place is that they just stock all the beer down the aisle and you can grab a single from any of them or grab a sixer if you want one. Walked out with a six around 14 bucks which I thought was reasonable compared to everywhere else I have been. Stop in if you haven't been you'll be glad you did.

This is among my favorite beer-shopping haunts in the Cincinnati Metro area. It's not particularly much to look at, just a somewhat cramped bottle shop that sells a little of everything in the way of spirits, but their craft beer selection is definitely well above average.

Their selection of imports is excellent, especially Belgians and British selections, but they also carry a pretty good range of German stuff. Their range of American craft brews is pretty solid, at least as far as the major breweries, but of course they have the same limitations as anyone else in terms of ability to get regional stuff. For example, Three Floyds Brewing Co. is situated just one state over, but it's very hard to get their beers here in southwest Ohio. Pop across the state line to Aurora, Indiana and a veritable cornucopia of Three Floyds awaits you at a place like the Pour House. Such are the vagaries of brewers' distribution networks.

Probably my favorite feature of Hyde Park Wine & Spirits is their total openness to allowing us to cherry-pick singles from four and six-packs to sample before buying larger quantities. The only downside, but an understandable one, is that per-bottle prices tend to be a little higher on such purchases, so if you put together a mixed six of singles you can expect to pay a bit more overall, but not a huge amount. Overall a great beer shop in my neck of the woods.

Its a little cramped but considering they have a very nice selection it works just fine. In fact it makes it more interesting to shop . Right past the cash registers they have a nice selection of the newest beers in the store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Selection is good, and its nice you can purchase an individual bottle or can out of any four or six pack. Its my go to store, I consistently find something new to try, and always have my old favorites.

Good alternative place to stop on the way up north now that Liquor Barn is off my list.

There was not much room to the beer section, but they totally filled the space they had with solid stuff.

Being from TN, it was really nice to see Jolly Pumpkin 750s of most of their offerings.

I also was able to buy some 12oz beers I have wanted to try but not put down the $$ for a 6 pack.

I did not see anything super rare, but I really was not looking for shelf walez this time.

I will be stopping here and or at Palmer's from now on. ( I need to rate Palmers, should have done that a long time ago. )

Finding beer in Cincinnati is a pain. I wanted to try this place last year when we went to our convention, but we didn't have a car. I had one this year and it is about 6 miles north of downtown. One of those State owned deals, they had a pretty good selection of Mid West beers and a ton of CA beers too! They let you mix and match 12 oz beers and that is key if you want to review a whole bunch of different beers. I wish they had more rare stuff but they served a great purpose. I will probably be going to them again next year when I am in town.

Hyde Park Wine & Spirits is a hit with us because they allow make-your-own 6'ers. Not a lot of places in our area allow for this and with their selection this makes for a great place to go for a variety pack. Especially for people like us who rarely finish a 6 pack before buying something new.

HPW&S doesnt always have many limited releases but its a safe bet that you will find Founders, Bells, Dogfish, and some of the other great breweries.

This is a liquor store as much as anything else and where its located expect to see a mixed crowd when you go. This is really why I nicked it a bit on the vibe. The beer is all on the left front side of the store and only a couple of the employees are pretty knowledgeable about what they offer and whats good (beerwise).

Oh and while you are there... swing by next door and get some of the best fried chicken in the city from Hitching Post!

One full aisle of beer does not seem like much but it is when they pack them in! It never seems to be too crowded which is good when you want to take your time and really browse. Sometimes it feels like your finding Waldo as you walk down the narrow aisle but take your time and you'll find what you need. If you need a hand the friendly staff are good at helping, but some deffinitely know more about beers then the others. I've gone digging here a couple of times with some success at finding some vintage brews.

Great selection of local, national and international beers as well!

A very very full single beer aisle in a store mostly dedicated to liquor and wine. Despite only having one aisle of beer it is PACKED! So much to choose from. Every brewery available in Ohio is there and almost always in stock. They always get plenty of the new releases and tough to find beers. Fairly high traffic so things don't stick around long but for the right person sometimes things can be held in the back. Occasionally vintage stuff will be pulled out of their cellar and make its way onto the shelves for a reasonable price as well which is nice

Finally visited this store not really knowing what to expect the beer section is not like others Im used to six packs and singles scattered across the floor with a policy of being able to pick in choose from different 6/4 packs. I found some great beers that are not made anymore and was able to finally try an Achel. Over all a very impressive selection several imports craft beers and microbrews, but it is pretty pricey i spent 37 on a six pack mind you one of them was 10 dollars . I will definitely go back. I would suggest any beer geek tp check this place out.

In Nati visting a friend and of course I look up the top place, thankfully and awesomely it was 2 miles from this house. I came in not expecting much because its Cincy but I came away shockingly surprised. They have two rows of beer, at least a hundred choices. American craft is well represented especially the midwest, tons of bells, troets, weyerbacher. International is ok, nothing special, the staples but nothing crazy. You can select singles out of all 6 packs which is awesome. I found 2007 pannepot for 6 bucks a bottle. Service was nice and the prices were the best. Everything was at least 20% below what is in Chicago. A must stop for beer when in Cincinnati.

I went here yesterday based on some suggestions from some kind BA's. They had a great selection and you could buy individual bottles from any 6 pack they had, which meant hundreds of options. They had most of the Alesmith special releases, some Allagash specials, Troegs, Great Lakes, tons of stuff. They even had KBS on the shelf!!! It was a 2 bottle limit at most places when it came out months ago and Hyde Park had some on the shelf. Great place, great pricing, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Cincy.

One of the most enlightening and possibly intoxicating experiences I've had in my new hobby. I appologize for not remembering the name of the extremely helpful woman on duty, but I blame her for that... five test cups in, I was a little warm inside. Great selection for the limited space. Staff seemed more than willing to cater to my ignorance of the myriad of microbrews. If for no other reason, stop in to meet some great people and pick-up some of the best local and national brews. A great place to spend an hour.

This is a great little place tucked away in the fair city of Cincinnati. They've got a great selection for the beer space they have alloted. Some cold ones if you're looking to drink now (mostly a bunch of macros). The beer aisle has all kinds of goodies; it seems like no one here knows about their incredible selection. All of the Rochefort, Orval, lots of Weyerbacher, Stone, Left Hand, as well as some coveted KBS. If you make it to Cincinnati you owe it to yourself to hit up this place and one of the large markets (Party Source or Jungle Jim's); this place offers a smaller selection with a high quality threshold (ignoring the obligatory macros). Prices are also on par with places throughout SW Ohio.

Great place they have here. The people working really know what they are talking about and doing. I look forward to going here often. The prices are just about what I would expect them to be anywhere else. If I am looking for a special release or a hard to find beer, this is my 1st (sometimes second) stop. All of the good beer is not refridgerated so it can be perfect for cellaring or keeping in your non-fridge stock pile.

Along with the beer they have just about every kind of hard liquor you can imagine. Keep up the Good Work!

stopped by hyde park with fellow BA SirSketch. we went to cincy for beer and skyline's coney dogs! wound up with a full stomach and an amazing beer haul.

the quality at hyde park is exceptional. floor to ceiling beer, many alesmith offerings, troegs, rare belgians and others. i did not ventures too far into the wine and spirit sections. from what i did see however, looked like some high quality stuff.

the service is exceptional too! BA crazynelson hooked us up. not in the sense of "crazy" discounts, but with really awesome customer service and his stash of alesmith brews.

in line with quality and service the selection is also exceptional. nearly everything available to me in bloomington was available at hyde park and then some! found some 2000 jw lees, some 2007 pannepot, it took me more than an hour to walk down the beer isle.

value is reasonable here. with their selection being what it is you're bound to pay a pretty penny. got some nice deals on singles, had a great shopping experience and participated in some excellent beer advocacy. cheers!

I had to check this place out while visiting a friend for my first time in Cincinnati who lives right across the corner fromhyde Park.
This place sells all kinds of wine, beer and liquor and has a nice selection of each. While the amount of beer stocked here isn't huge, it's certainly large and enough to easily find something new or interesting. There's a cooler for some of the more typical stuff, and a decently large section for some of the good stuff. There's a good mix of 750s, 22s, and 12s. Mix your own 6-pack is welcome also, which is key for me. There are a lot of good breweries represented here, and the quality of the beer sold is indisputable. What's really great about this store is the service. I talked to some knowledgeable people who can really hold their own in a conversation about beer and are extremely helpful. The customer service is great.
All in all, this is a great place in Cincy to pick up some beer.

They have a pretty damn good selection, and everything is available in a mix-your-six (which is always nice). Service is decent...some are definitely more beer savvy than others, but those that know there stuff are more than willing to help and even talk shop with fellow beer geeks no matter the time of day. All in all a good place to go to whether you know what you're looking for or not.

On business in Cincy, thought I'd stop by...

Glad to see such a nice selection. All the usual suspects from the east, big guys from the West and a nice selection of Alesmith, including Old Numbskull.

Mix your own sixer rules.

The service here was outstanding. Very nice ladies working, very attentive. One actually offered to take me in the back to show me some beers not out on display, after she noticed I had a real interest in good beer. This is how I scored the Old Numbskull, they also had a stash of KBS. Sadly, she wouldn't sell me the one beautiful bottle of Black Ops.

Overall, great beer destination in an almost devoid beer town. God I hate Cincinnati....

The selection here is very good. Actually, it may very well be the best selection within Cincinnati's city limits.

The staff here are all very nice and helpful, but not everyone is a beer guru. Don't expect a good list of recommendations from all of the employees. That said, the folks that do know beer that work here, well, they know beer.

All in all, the prices are reasonable, and a lot of the imports are actually less expensive than a lot of other places. Plus, there is the ability to make your own sixer, which is always a plus.

Notes: The vast majority of their selection is not refridgerated, which is a plus in my book but might put some people off. They do have a cooler where they have a lot of the more popular sellers, but for the most part, their selection takes up both sides of a very long, floor to ceiling aisle. The Aisle of the Gods.

The staff are all BAs and their is a BA top 100 posted on the wall with the beers they have in stock highlighted. This is also a liquor and wine store and the beer is relegated to one aisle on the left side. They have so many goodies stashed in that one aisle it blows my mind.

Most of the employees are BA's themselves.
They offer the best prices on Belgian imports in the area as well as one of the best selections in Southwest Ohio.
They are both knowledgeable and friendly as they cheerfully help you select what you would like or give advice about what you should eat with that Sweet Stout you selected.
They charge you a very reasonable price for what they serve. Somethings even below market value.

This is a great place to shop in the greater Cincinnati area. Definitely one of my regular stopping points. For such a small shop, they definitely carry a lot and make it fit.

Quality: They really have some great high end beers (Founders, Southern Tier, Bell's, Allagash, Hoppin' Frog, Stone, Alesmith, North Coast, as well as dozens of imports).

Service: Easily one of the best informed staffs - they can make recommendatioins on any kind of style that you're looking for and help you find something new. They know what they've got, what they're getting, when they're getting it... Really, this is about as good as it gets.

Selection: For such a small store, they do carry a good number of beers. If they had more space, they'd be even more impressive.

Value: Overall, the prices sometimes seem kind of high, but in my opinion, they're really only carrying some of the best beers available in the area and the better product tends to come at the higher cost -- so I feel the prices asked are reasonable considering the quality of the product received.
