Byrne's is a smallish place located in Grandview. Parking is pretty limited by the bar (in the lot) but there is enough off street parking to at least get something relatively close. Walking up to the place you'll notice a small patio style area with a couple tables. After making it through the front door, it's pretty easy to get a feel for the place. Bar on the right, tables in the middle, and stage on the left. It does try to have a pub feel. Even had a live Celtic rock band on my visit. Tap selection was basic and the notable brews included Bass, Harp, Smithwick's, Oberon, and Great Lakes Oktoberfest. The bottle selection was actually disappointing. I noticed some macros along with Sam Adams, Sam Smith, and Newcastle. There is a pizza place connected to Byrne's that will take orders through your waitress. Some of my party ordered subs and pizzas but I did not. The food does look pretty good though. It's a laid back place but the selection of brews is pretty thin. If I lived close by, I'd stop in on occasion. Since I don't, it will be a while before I go back.

Located on the corner of 3rd and Northwest Blvd. in Grandview. There is a small sidelot which can be a little tricky to negotiate but there is usually not much trouble parking. Kind of a run down place but it has a nice character to it. Lots of Irish beer paraphenalia on the walls. Tap selection is pretty weak. The usual American Irish Pub selection (Guinness, Smithwick's, Harp). They also had Oberon and Cow Tail on tap (couldn't get any information from the waitress about Cow Tail other than it was a Wheat beer and "it's local"). Grandad's pizza has a window connected to the bar and delivers it to anyone that wants to order it. It's been a couple of years since I've had Grandad's but it is some good pie. It was a nice enough place to watch the OSU game but with so many other great choices in the area, I probably won't come back.

Byrne's is a staple in the Grandview area near the intersection of 5th and Northwest. There is a small side lot and free street parking nearby.
The bar has been around for some time and it shows. The outside is kind of dingy with a small patio out front. The inside is divided between the bar on the right side and a seating/live music area on the left. As with most Irish-themed bars there are lots of knickknacks and old sports paraphernalia.
The beer selection is fair. There are around 10 taps, and usually at least a couple gems like Bell's Two-Hearted available. As for bottles it's the usual run-of-the mill Irish and North American macros/micros.
The service here is hit and miss. Some bartenders are spot-on but some don't seem to get around to taking your drink order even when they are not busy.
Haven't tried the food here but the popcorn is good!
It's hard to recommend this place based on beer alone, but with the great Celtic bands they have show up periodically (Black '47, The Prodigals etc) and the history of the place I visit pretty regularly.

A very average pub that neither impresses nor offends. Few tap beers available, but the quality in the cooler is quite good and the light is kept off in the cooler to preserve the beer.
Outside seating and some game possibilties. The entertainment seems to be for weekends. Plenty of off street parking. Just off Northwest Blvd.
