So I came to town for business and did another beer trade with a great BA. Asked for recommendations for a place to go to for a good selection and she said to go here. I called to ask questions and got the owner, Andy. Great guy. Told me to see JD when I got there. JD immediately took us into the beer cooler and I picked out a 2004 Stone IRS. Very cool but a bit spendy at $65. He also took us up to the whiskey attic. I am not a whiskey fan but it was pretty amazing. Overall great place for a beer selection and amazing staff!! I would definitely go again.

After a bit of a summertime hike, my two friends and I made it. One friend asked if I was sure about this place since from the outside it looked like a bit of a dive with but a couple cars in the front at about 9 PM. Went in to find a couple booths, tables, and a few bar stools at the bar. Sign told us to order food at the bar. Tim Burton's Batman is playing on a big screen TV. We grab a booth but I then get up to check out the visible cooler that is near a stage. A guy from the bar asks me if it is our first time there and would like to see the cooler. My friends join me and we go into a cooler that I wish I had had more time and money to enjoy. Brews are arranged by country and the use is then divided by state. I see so many that I have never seen or heard of. My eye see Innis & Gunn's Independence Day 2012 and I know what I want. Friends grad different bottles as well. There is also 8 taps of different drafts, some that they claim are also rarities from around the US.
They then offer us a tour of the whisky cellar upstairs. My love of bourbon almost makes me order a shot from this giant collection but I decide to stick with the beers.
Not much of a menu for food. Pub fare with burgers, pizzas, some sandwiches (I got OMG BLT - highly recommend that on).
Don't know what the liquor laws are down here but it was really neat that you could also buy any bottles from the cooler to go. Friend go a rare German chocolate cake beer, loved it, and got another bottle for his wife. Price bomber at $22 but the guy who helped us told us that it was part of a limited 60 case production. My Innis was $11 but it's on my Wants so why not.
The only bad thing is not about the place but about their website. Menu tab shows no menus for food, beer, or whiskies. Calendar shows no past of future event. I think the only reason to go to the site is to sign up for their newsletter. Their Facebook page is better for info about what is happening at the Frog.

This place is a bit on the smallish side. It has a little stage area for impromptu performances, but not exactly much for seating other than a couple tables and a belly up to the bar. It gets excessively loud during the performances as well. You wind up yelling at someone next to at the bar.
The selection on tap is along the lines of Delirium and Lagunitas. Nice for a bar, not great for a true tap room. The real selection is in the chiller room, but you pay way over liquor store prices. Don't expect any real deals. But you can find nice stuff if you look. If it's busy, you won't be able to. If slow, you might.
This place is right across the street from UNLV and draws the typical college crowds, young college age students, professors, and some out of towners.
This place is best for the liquor room upstairs where they cater to people wanting to sample high end Bourbons and whiskies. Once again, bring your check book. Not even remotely cheap. But cheaper than an imported bottle.
Great for a visit, but not a great go to hangout.

So I was under the impression this was a store. Im an idiot.
Atm- Located across the street from UNLV is a open strip mall with one sign on the building and the windows blacked out and a tiny ass door. What was I doing? Inside dark as shit for 3pm on a Sunday. One guy inside plus the cooks/bartenders.
Quality- Good Beers on tap, from EvilTwin, Ballast Point and a couple others. No BMC that was nice to see. In the cooler was an impressive array of bottles for a bar including Cantillon Classic, lots of Mikkeller and imports. Uinta Oak Jacked Pumpkin, Stone rarities, lots of Euros as well.
Service- Super nice bartender let me poke around the cooler when I realized I was an idiot and would have to come back, next trip to Vegas to try a beer.
Selection, Cantillion, Mikkeller, Stone, The Bruery, Weinhestephaner. Lots more to choose from as well.
Value- When a small bottle of Cantillon is $36, Ill stick with the tap list.
