To those from the Hartford area who are familiar with the "Colt" name, surely our "46" is the highest caliber light lager around. We suggest starting your 5-beer sampler with this crisp tasty AMERICAN BEER. It is our lightest offering in terms of color, calories and carbs. Colt registers 10 degrees on the Plato scale (4% alch/vol) and is available in either a pint or a 22oz wheat glass for a small additional charge. Long live the Onion Dome!

Reviewed on 9/30/08. On tap at City Steam. Pours a light, almost clear yellow with a white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma of wheat and light flowery hops. Flavor of light flowery hops, slight sweetness. Not as sweet as Export Lager, thankfully. This is decent for a pale lager.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the brewery. The appearance is a clear light gold color with a small white head. The aroma is real close to an AAL. The taste is mild. The flavor is mostly grain.

A:Poured a light golden color with a minimal, fizzy head.
S: Smells as you would expect it to: rice, wheat, and some feint floral hops.
T/M: Taste is about the same as the nose. Lots of grain, biscuit, and a touch of sweetness in the finish. The mouthfeel is nice and light with a nice crisp and clean finish. Lots of carbonation as well.
D: Obviously this is not a craft brew that's going to blow your mind. However, it's extremely drinkable and I would take it over almost any other macro light beer in an instant, especially if I'm drinking in a social setting and maybe looking to keep a good buzz going.
