Starts with an all-foam pour--literally a head to the bottom of the glass. I don't think I've ever seen this before. It also settles slowly with some rockiness. Plenty of chunky lace on the side of the glass. The liquid, when it appears, is pale gold with a touch of haze. 4.25/5
The smell reminds me of a Saison. It has earthy tones and raw, unmalted grain. Clean. 4/5
Smooth mouthfeel, with an equally low carbonation level. (4/5) The taste is a little flat. There's a creamy element to the overwhelmingly pale malt flavor, but little else. There's a modicum of hop to create a bit of spice, but otherwise this is a one-dimensional beer. 3.25/5 I'm not typically a fan of cream ales, but I find this one to be flaw free. 3.5/5
