Looking for some local beers and was pleasantly surprised by the large selection. Greeted upon arrival and asked if they could be of assistance . Local brews plus micro brews and imports. Found some German beers that I never knew were imported to America. Nice assortment and worth a visit.

I had a really great experience at this location. I was able to reserve the last 3 bottles of the New England Imperial Stout Trooper for the day and received excellent service. I was greeted with friendly and mostly knowledgeable staff. While the person that worked with me didn't have the greatest knowledge of the beers in the store, he was very knowledgeable about the local brews, which is what I was searching for. Being from the DC area, while driving through New Haven, I wanted to pick up some great local brews to enjoy while in the NE and bring back with me. I walked away with Ithica Flower Power, New England Stout Trooper, Berkshire Coffeehouse Porter, Thomas Hooker Liberator Doppelbock, and one other local brew (can't remember which it was...)

Great place, great selection, great service, reasonable prices.

Less known about and less convenient than the other Amity Wine location so it is easier to find some beers you might have missed out on at other locations.

While their selection here is ok, I was very disappointed to find they don't sell singles, or mix-a-six. That is a strong selling point for me, as they do this at New England Beverage.

BUT.. the one gem this place has that is extremely hard to find in other stores is a great deal on beer glasses! They have a rotating selection of pint glasses for $0.99. Sometimes their rotation takes a little longer than other times. We've scored quite a few really unique beer glasses and sometimes they are only $0.50.

So, as your carousing the beers, be sure to check out the glassware!

Decent store with peculiar selection. The beer selection is small (about 15% of the store) compared to their liquor and wine selections. But of that selection, a wide range to choose from is available.

They have many six packs of local (New England) micros, a good selection of foreign six packs, as well as several variety packs, a few growlers in the fridge, and an okay selection of singles.

What makes this place stand out to me, is that they often have a few gems that I can't find anywhere else. Sometimes they'll have a few dusty bottles that are way past date that either A) they know it's still worth something to somebody or B) they just want to make a few bucks instead of throwing them away.

The other day, I was able to pick up a few bottles of Young & Co. that are now retired (since they merged with Charles Wells (now Wells & Young's PLC) that shall sit in my cellar for a while.

The staff is helpful if you ask questions. But I've been quite a few times, and every time they seem to be hustling and bustling about which makes customers feel like they need to get in and get out (which does not work for me, since I like to take my time, browse, and read).

The prices vary, as some local micros are cheaper than other stores in the area, but other imports and specialties are usually a few dollars more. Nevertheless, it's never unreasonable.

It's definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area or are curious about finding some random bottles.

Cheers!

When I go an visit my sister and her family I usually try to stop in to see what they might have that I can not get in NY. While lately I have been disappointed that they really are carrying the same stuff that we have in NY, they do have a fair selection. Though nothing like Half-Time or Olivers in NY they have a number of nice imports and many brews from New England and NY, wide selection of Rogue. I was really hoping to see some more stuff from Coastal Extreme Brewing out of Rhode Island. Also some of the stuff that I see seems that it might be a bit old, very dusty. Will continue to stop by when in town, hope that they will expand a bit more but not a bad selection.

Stopped in to check out the selection. Good selection here, a very large and wide selection of beers from across the country. All the local micros are here at decent prices. Alot of stuff from overseas which is harder to find in other stores. Very large selection of micros. All of the beer was reasonably priced and the staff seemed to know what they were talking about when poised with questions.

I stopped in because the Amity Wine in Amity has a very good selection of craft beers and I wanted to see if this was similar. It was and I was very pleased. This seems like a good place to go for craft beers as the selction is good, the prices aren't too high, and the staff is helpful and somewhat knowledgable about their beers.
