Cask conditioned tap at the SBC in Southport CT. Pours deep dark red, bordering on brown. Creamy foam - very sticky, creating lots of lacing down the side. Served below room temp, but not much - certainly not ice cold, as you'd expect for a cask ale. Very smooth & creamy mouthfeel. Rich malty taste, hint of caramel, buried in a mountain of hops. Decent brew, a bit hoppier than I'd typically like for the style but a worthy effort.

This beer had a nice color, but the head was very thin. The beer seemed a little flat, not terribly - but I did notice it. The hops were stronger than I thought, and the initial bitterness faded quickly. This is a drinkable brew, just wish it had a bit more carbonation.
