Poured from a .5lt bottle into a weissen glass.

Opened with a very satisfying pop. Light amber colored with a tall tan head and medium high carbonation.
Unfortunately this beer didn't live up to it's looks.
The beer tasted fine, some wheat, some hops, some fruit, some spice. Nothing bad or off, just average for a German weissen, which still makes it better than most American versions.
Nothing bad to say about the Veldensteiner and if buy it again if other brands weren't available or I needed ceramic top bottles larger than Grolsch.

(three 500 ml bottles, best by 5 May 2017... gradually poured/married into a liter-size mug)

L: cloudy, orange-y amber liquid; big, cottony, fluffy head - dies down to steady, creamy cap

S: coffee cake, brioche, vanilla and cloves... very fragrant, fantastic intensity... lightly sugary

T: banana, vanilla, bread dough... chewy dense golden bread crust... vibrant flavors; alive and penetrating without much off-flavor at all - impressive

F: soft, plush, silky-foamy; nip of a tart twang... the feel just envelopes the thorax... lovely, fulfilling yet light

O: year and one half 'past due' and it's rather tasty and enjoyable... best of the lot for what I've found here... very likely to buy the remainder of what's near me - for one, to get the flip-top bottles for homebrew and, for two, because the beer is pretty damn solid for its age

Decanted from a porcelain capped bottle into a 16.9 oz (500 ml) into a tasting pint; mindestens haltbar bis (best before): L125I054, reportedly May 5, 2018.
A: Pours a cloudy amber to light copper color with a two finger, off white head, speedy reduction to a cap, and solid lacing.
S: Aromas of caramel, toffee, honeysuckle, and cloves. ?Slight barnyard note.
T: Sweet to semisweet. Flavors largely follow the nose. Bitterness present but in the background.
M: Medium bodied with low effervescence. Tingling on the palate.
O: Enjoyable. Adequate without being exemplary of the German Hefeweizen style. Rated on the second try (1/27/2019), which explains the disparity in dating.

Pours a cloudy amber-golden color with a huge, bubbly head.

Smells of dough, rustic white bread and a peppery clove note. Got some faint banana underneath, mingling into the malts while maintaining a refreshing unripe quality.

Drinks very soft, while the beer packs a lively, bubbly carbonation, which stays balanced till the end, offering a light bodied, truly refreshing beer.

Tastes of a pleasant, thirst quenching yeast sourness, immediately balanced by rich straw, toffee and a soft, herbal spice quality. Got a well pronounced sweetness during the mid palate, reminding me of high quality honey, perfectly blending into the refreshing, slightly dry finish, defined by a lively carbonation.

Perfect example for a very tasty Weisse, exhibiting a great flavor interplay and intensity, focussed on its awesome refreshing quality.

11/29...pours bright gold, a bit under a 1/4 inch white foam that layers the top. Wheaty banana nose. Taste is a citrus infused wheat, light tart, crisp clean finish. Smooth. Modestly carbonated mouthfeel. Consistent.

Poured from a brown 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, a touch of banana. Taste is green apples, some banana, a bit of wheat and also somewhat unusual for the style. Feels medium bodied in the mouth mouth and overall an ok beer, but I am feeling left a little disappointed.

Swing top bottle.
Hazy apricot amber body with a decent head.
Body is a bit thin even for style and despite adequate carbonation.
Light flavor from both the yeast and the malt components. Balance leans a bit more towards the malts than the yeast. Highlight: the nice nutty finish and aftertaste, with a hint of hazelnut.
