A: Pours a golden, amber in color with a fair amount of white, sticky foam. Tons of lacing around the edge of the glass as you put this one back and what appears to be a healthy amount of carbonation. Lighter looking than expected, but it's a welcome surprise.

S: Aroma is on the lighter side as well with hints of grapefruit, mango, apricot and a spice. There is a subtle malt backbone, but it's masked pretty well. Not much pine. Earthy.

T: Sweet malt profile up front which transitions into into an amalgamation of citrus and tropical fruits with some pine and earthiness in the background. Finishes crisp, dry and bitter. Aftertaste is mostly bitter citrus.

M: The body is pretty light for the category with a clean, crisp carbonation and a little bit of cream. This beer has some substance to it, but it's pretty thin in comparison to some of the heavier beers in the category. There is a bit of an oily quality from the hops, but it's fairly minimal.

O: This is a very refreshing and drinkable IPA. It has enough flavor to please and is light enough to be sessionable. I really don't have any complaints about this beer, but it didn't blow me away either. Great for an IPA craving during warmer weather. Cheers!

A - Nice hazy golden colour but the head was a little lacking.

S - Citrus (somewhat) / Pine (more so) with very little malt balance.

T - Similar to the smell but pine really comes across strong. Alcohol and flavor balance is spot on.

M - On the lighter side but very refreshing as the hop profile subsides quickly after each sip.

O - Its a better than average IPA but the particular hop flavor profile is some what one sided for my taste.

Appearance: Surprisingly clear, amber color. Huge white four finger head slowly recedes down to two fingers and then lingers. Massive lacing.

Smell: Good hops aroma. Inviting but not amazing.

Taste: Great grain character although the hop flavor is a little less than expected.

Mouthfeel: The carbonation is very good but the body is a bit light.

Overall: A good beer that has some exceptional qualities but lacks in other areas.

Appearance:
Opened the cap and carbonation began gushing out the top volcano-style...it was very unexpected.
The white head after pouring was approximately 2 inches, dense, and sticky. The body is a hazy orange-yellow. The glass I'm drinking out of is nucleated, but I don't think this beer would have had any trouble keeping a thick head throughout drinking.

Smell:
Citrus fruits (grapefruit/oranges) followed by an interesting yeast nose and sweetness.
If an IPA isn't kicking me in the face with citrus aromatics it's generally defined as being "average."
However, there is a certain earthiness that I don't normally smell in an IPA.

Taste:
Quite a clean and balanced tasting IPA with nothing out of place. The alcohol is relatively weak and the hops are definitely the strongest component of this beer's flavor profile. There is almost no lingering aftertaste, even after drinking 1/2 way through.

Mouthfeel:
The crisp, clean hops rest delicately on my palate while drinking, but are flushed away after each swallow. There is no grapefruit-rind bitterness, and there is no syrupy sweetness. The body is essentially medium, but drinks like it's light. This is probably one of the most clean IPAs I've ever tried.

Overall:
Reasonably priced, but nothing special. The flavors are generic, but the beer does possess some subtle differences comparatively. I'd probably recommend this to the non-adventurous soul, but not to one of my fellow BA-ers.

Served on-draught into a plastic cup at Speakeasy's decrepit warehouse - I mean - brewpub. Reviewed from notes. Instantly I'm turned off to the beer because the brewers see no problem with serving it in a plastic cup.

A: Pours a one finger head of decent slight cream, okay thickness, and downright bad retention. Colour is a clear yellow-gold.

Sm: Slight malted barley. A mild strength aroma.

T: Light hops and barley. Rather simple, to say the least. Decently balanced and built alright; there's just not much there to describe.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Suits the (lack of) flavours decently, but doesn't feel custom-tailored to them by any means.

Dr: Pretty drinkable and offered at a decent price. I wouldn't get it again on account of its low quality.

Serving type: on-tap
