Bottle I brought to share at Wowcoolman's tasting.

Pours a hazy golden-orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and grapefruit juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid citrus forward hop qualities all around.

Serving type: bottle.

Opens with a big herbal, minty nose. Pours hazy gold under a 3” rocky white cap with a slight yellow-gold tint that provided very clingy lace. Showcases big hop flavors over a light malt backbone. Melon and citrus start the attack with hints of tropical fruit finishing with a clean, crisp bitterness and a herbaceous graham cracker laced with fruit aftertaste. Very fine soft carbonation gives the beer a light creamy mousse texture. Very big flavors but nothing is harsh or cloying.

On tap at Speakeasy's 16th Anniversary Party:

Pours a hazy bright yellow with slight orange edges. Creamy off white head. Aroma is all hops. The malt backbone is barely noticeable which was clearly the intention. Huge notes of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, peaches, and melon. So much citrus hop focus in the aroma. Taste follows the nose extremely well. Not overly sweet with exceptionally balanced flavors from all the different hops in this beer. One of the smoothest and creamiest 10% IPAs I've had, amazing how well the alcohol was covered up. Dangerously easy to drink! Hop profile is Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra, Columbus, Apollo, and Mosaic. An excellent TIPA, hopefully this is rebrewed and maybe even added to Speakeasy's lineup.

A: golden beer with frothy cap; persistent filmy cap and some sparse lacing

S: bright grapefruit and lemon pith and spray - zesty on the nose - some floral notes

T: danker hop bitterness on the tongue than the nose - shiny pine notes humming through the citric flowers; light and just mildly sweet malts, pale and clean

M: toward the lighter-feel end of the DIPA spectrum; another relatively lean and tight IIPA, subtle bitterness, mild finish

O: drinkable DIPA from San Fran, lean and crisp, carrying a well-hidden abv - light and lemony - definitely worth the buy, even if only for the one time.

Pours very cloudy gold color like salt water, with sediment floating in it and a huge thick foamy white head that's full of bubbles of all sizes and faded extremely slowly, dissipating into craters as it went down and leaving outstanding lacing coating the sides. A great looking beer.

Smells of pineapple, mango, orange, apple, citrus hops, graham cracker, sweet fruit like starfruit or other tropical citrus fruits, brown sugar, toasted grains, grass and floral hops. Very pungent citrus aroma that was very strong yet had enough of a malty backbone to make great balance.

Dank juicy hops smack you up front, followed by citrus hops if all kinds including pineapple, mango, orange, pear, apple, citrus hops, graham cracker, sweet citrus fruits, brown sugar, toasted grains, toffee, toasted wheat bread (with butter), grass, fruity candy like Skittles, tea leaf or dry spices like pepper and coriander, and floral hops. Like the nose the flavor is pungent citrus fruit with enough of a malty backbone to give great balance and make this easy drinking. It hides the ABV completely and slides down smooth.

Mouthfeel is slick and buttery with average carbonation, a medium chewy body and a finish that's bitter but not too bitter. Aftertase is sweet and fruity with some toasted bread lingering as it faded, and overall it was complex and very tasty.

Served in a wax bagged 22oz bomber aboard NJ bound commuter train. Amazing flavor particularly given its Abv. Not too alcohol. Incredibly well balanced. Pear and grapefruit with just the right malt sweetness. Finish clean and bitter with enticing sweet tart like end keeps you craving more. Blind Tiger packs a delicious punch. If you're a west coast style hop head grab some if you can.

Powerful aroma of flowers and fruit-- gardenia, ripe pear, kumquat, and orange blossom. Color is a different shade of golden amber with a fine-grained foam in the Petrus goblet. Sparkly on the tongue with a sharp edge.

Amazing honeydew melon flavor, sweetened with something like honey and sharpened with acidity. Rich without being unctuous. Hot with alcohol but like a delightful fruity mixed drink with fresh lime juice. Bitter finish but it is such a great balance to the crazy fruit and insistent malty sweetness.

This is a remarkably fragrant powerhouse of a big beer. Have the enthusiasts who rave about the Plinys had this? From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft - North Park.

This IPA is just one of the many Speakeasy has. They are all amazing, Vendetta being my favorite. Nothing wrong with this beer tho, it's as good as they come.

Served in a snifter from a 22oz. bomber.

Appearance: A somewhat hazy darker gold with heavy bubbles. White head rising to about s finger's length with a vigorous pour. Still hangs int there with a few sips and a slight uneven lacing. Regardless looks good.

Smell: Sooth floral scent.

Taste: I will give you warning it is one incredible malt-bomb with slightly citrus sweet feels and a bitterness that becomes crazy addicting. Has a certain grapefruit feel and more hops that give it the best combination of complexity.

Mouth: Sticky-icky! I am pairing this with pretzels and you still feel the brew. Has a bread feel with the slight toasted after-taste but such a smooth finish.

Overall: Speakseasy has truly surprised me with this animal of a beer. No pun intended. It's definitely one of those if you see it buy it type of brews. Honestly i can say I have fallen in lust. Salud!

Picked up a bomber from BevMo in late October for $8.59. No bottling date. Availability is June-July per the web site so it is likely BevMo received it in early July.

Beer poured a semi cloudy orange with a beautiful white head that is leaving some lacing behind.

Nose has big malts and a decent amount of citrus hops.

Taste is huge, big malt backbone meets up with citrus, pine, and a light touch of mango.

Mouthfeel is big, creamy, and satisfying for a sipping beer.

Overall this is a good representation of the impy IPA style, was a good beer. Would be willing to buy it in a more reasonably priced 12 ounce format but until then likely not to buy it again.

Very unique blend of hops. I'd put this up against...nothing that I can think of. I've never had a DIPA quite like this. Very smooth for a near 10 ABV and incredibly well balanced. Just be careful! Thos os the type of beer that will get you HAMMERED. A must try for the ipa lover.
