This is a fairly standard looking store for beer, wines and spirits. The craft beer selection is slightly better than average, but is currently without a mix and match six pack option. What this store excels at is its bourbon selection and its customer service.

there are two locations in my area, this is the location where i do my rounds at. this place is kind of hidden, but can be seen on the high way. friendly and knowledgeable help, always asking if i hae had or have tried new releases. they never hoard or save bottles which can be good or bad. they also have vintages sitting on the clearance rack which i have taken advantage of several times lading, 08.09 vertical epics, 09 WWS, 08 choc yetis, just to names a few, i always go straight to the clearance racks. although it has some gems, it lacks variety. same breweries all the time. one can get a little bored

its one of my go to's

A solid selection of beers. Okay pricing on the beer... better on growler fills. A small tap selection (4 I think). With some fairly unique and hard to find things from time to time. The bottle selection is decent. No single bottles but they get lots of rare and unique stuff. If you ask the right person you can reserve things as well. Plenty of kegs and the ability to order things. Overall, the customer service is subpar but every once and a while I get luck here. Worth a stop if you're around but not worth driving far out of your way

EDIT: new beer buyer's policy is to jack up prices on special beers and hold things for ransom. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE

Visited while visiting this fair city!

Had read the beerfly beforehand, and knew of this locations history. However my lack of a car only allowed me to visit this location.

Overall, not a bad location! A descent selection of beer. Plenty of six/four packs of beer. Not stored in UV protected light, but the freshness that I saw probably negated any long term storage issues.

The usual finds:

Stone
Breckenridge
Sierra Nevada
etc...

Locals included:

Schafly
Great Lakes
Goose Island
New Holland
3Floyd's
many others....

Also had Growler fills with 4 taps that included a Schafly beer a 3 others... $2.50 for the actual growler and the beer was decently priced with a 64 oz. fill.

Had an opportunity to buy many, but had to respect the room I had! Will definitely visit this place even if I have better transportation when I return next time!

Almost all of the beer is in a cooler including all the case type beer, so temperature is not an issue!

A little hard to find; passed it many times going to Party Source and finally decided to stop in. Easy to see from the highway, another story to get there. Small parking lot on a hill but that's not a real problem.
Upon entering we were asked at least twice if we needed any help. Obvious they have customer service in mind. Wandered to the beer coolers where they have the usual Stone, Schalfly, BBC, nothing really outstanding. Except for 2 four packs of KBS! Score! This is more of a wine/liquor store. We asked the clerks about Big Eddy Stout...never heard of it. Oskar Blues....never heard of it. Staff seems very knowledgable about spirits, just not beer.
I've never been treated so politely in a store before.
Prices seemed on par with other retailers in the area. Ended up buying the KBS and 2 bottles of bourbon. I'll visit again.

Visited this place today to see what they have in stock currently. I have been here a couple times before and each time I get friendly, prompt service. To be honest, I wasn't too impressed with the first associates beer knowledge, but he mentioned he just started there. I ran into a super friendly, knowledgeable distributor who actually recommended I visis Cork n' Bottle's Buttermilk Pike location.

Don't get me wrong, the employees are happy to talk beer with you and recommend their beers, point out new seasonals, etc. They have a guess-timated 150 American brews and about 100+ import beers, some singles, including many Belgians and German beers. American beer include:
* Stone
* Schlafly
* Avery
* Dogfish Head
* Arcadia
* Shiner
* Bell's
* Great Lakes
* Rogue
* Brooklyn
* BBC

Prices are better than most specialty beer stores' prices in Cincinnati. The store is always clean, as well. I'd recommend this and Party Source if you are looking for a place that sells good beer in Northern Kentucky. Worth checking out if you get the time!

When I'm in this part of town, it's usually to visit Party Source in Newport (which I consider CandyLand for drunks).

The Dogfish shipment of Burton Baton was in Ohio so I figured I'd pick up a couple more 4 packs here. They didn't have it but I stumbled across two cases of Hopslam ($12.99 per six) in the walk-in frige. This was in late March so right away I knew they didn't get a whole lot of craft beer traffic.

Their selection is below average. Nothing jumped out at me but Cork and Bottle would work if you were in a pinch and couldn't make the 5 minute detour over to Party Source.

They had a lot of people working but nobody was interested in chatting me up. I even got a funny reaction from the cashier when a case of Hopslam rang up over $50.

It's worth mentioning that they support the local public radio station (89.7 WNKU) so if you're looking for standard fare, you may consider supporting them.

I first hit on this place back in 2003 when I was in town with a bus trip from Pittsburgh for the annual Stillers/Bengals game and our bus passed right past it on the way to the hotel. I later went back on foot and loaded up on a bunch of good stuff, including the bottle of Sam Adams Utopias that resides in my basement. I remember being blown away at the depth and breadth of their selection and how they had so many different things that did not even involve alcohol for sale. We Pennsylvanians are just so crippled by our laws that it does not take much to impress me.

When I decided to make Cincy my first stop on a train and bus trip over the 2006/'07 holiday break, I had it in mind that I would pop in at the Cork 'N' Bottle while in town.

First off, their hours are great! They are open seven days a week with six of those days starting at 0800 and Sundays at 1100. Holy Lemme Get My Drink On, Batman! They have an expansive parking lot with lots of signage. I entered through a wide vestibule entry down a separated corridor (right for entry, left for exit) and into the Liquor and Spirits section that ran down the right side of the store. I was especially interested in their great selection of rye whiskey, but much of it was well outside of my price range, as therealbeerfly had warned me that they probably would be. Against the back wall were the Boxed Wine and Big Bottles; in the Center (Rear) were all of their wines; in the Center (Right) were the Cheeses and Specialty Foods; and along the left wall were Party Supplies. They had a bank of nineteen (19) coolers for beer with a huge selection, but they were limited on singles, which was a drawback for me as a traveller without much luggage. Further, there was no breaking or mixing of sixes allowed. Arrrggh! 8={} If looking in the doors was not enough, the discerning shopper could actually walk into the cooler. Nice. I also took note of the pre-filled growlers of Mt. Carmel Copper, Blonde, and Stout, as well as Rogue Dead Guy. The staff was all very friendly and unobtrusive. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Thank you to Beerfly for pointing this place out. Stopped here while doing some work in Covington. This place has amazing prices- at least compared to Cleveland, OH. Bombers such as Stone are at least $2 cheaper here, plus they have some difficult to find Stone, Jolly Pumkin, Bells, and even SN. This place almost looks like a cheesy casino from the outside. Only in Kentucky will you find a beer/liqour store that looks like a 24 hour porn shop that has a garage converted into outdoor restrooms. For that alone their service gets a 4.0.

Had some time to kill so I thought I would pick up a single bottle of something, and since I've never been to the Cork 'n Bottle I thought I'd try it out.

Quality: I was not very impressed by how they kept their beers. First couple of bottle I picked up had a sticky residue on it. All the others where very dusty. When I got home and opened the bottle of beer I had bought under the cap was severe rusting. Not Impressed at all.

Service: I like to go into a liquor store to look around and buy beer all by myself with no help unless I seek it. However, here I was constantly bombarded with may I help you by people who where in clear hearing range of me turning down the request for help from the employee who asked me three minutes ago. However, on the plus side they where extremely friendly which I like a lot. I was greeted with a smile and a how are you was a very nice welcome. So I gave them a 3.5 even though I was bugged a lot.

Selection: As for single bottles their selection wasn't too impressive and pretty pricey. I wanted to go in and buy a 12 oz bottle of a microbrew or import for $1.89 at the most. However, all the had was the larger 17oz-22oz bottles and they wanted $3.50 for them. I wasn't too happy with that.

Like I said it was pretty pricey, but from what I've read in other reviews they seem like they where very friendly and knew what they where selling. So I can't rule out I will never go back there again, but it will not be the first stop I make.

Stopped in on the way through Cincinnati. Eye catching, with their 'just-off-I-75' location. Visited as a recommendation from Clvand0. As he explained, they have a good seleciton of beer. Everything from freshly released Micros to time tested imports. A good selection of singles and a refrigerated section with individuals as well. Asked if I could take singles from the non-singles section and I was not allowed. The beer selection was nicely arranged, but tucked into a discrete corner. The rest of the store covered the gammot from gormet wines and cheeses to specialty foods and bar paraphenallia. Certainly worth the stop if traveling through and cannot spend the time to travel deeper into the Cincy neighborhoods for a better selection.

The Cork N Bottle is a long standing store in the area. They have a nice selection of beers available. The import selection is pretty strong. Lots of belgian selections and good amounts of german beers. The micro selection is ok. Most of the regulars are present Dog Fish Head, Flying Dog, Avery ect. There is a wide selection of cold singles in the beer cooler. This very often makes choosing beers hard to do. The staff while not always particularly knowledgeable about beer have always been willing to order special items. I have never really felt gouged for anything I have bought from them. As a side note this is also a good wine and liquior store.

Stopped on the way back from some of the usual haunts in Cincy and surrounding areas. The store is very clean, with a somewhat good beer selection. There is nothing you can get here that you can't get at Party Town or Party Source, but it is a much easier place to access off the highway on the way south. They have a good selection of imports, including a few brews like black abbott and others from that brewery that I have not seen anywhere else. You can get Leinienkeugles beers here, where you can't find it in Lexington. Overall, a very good store. We had people ask us if we needed help more than once when in the store. Overall, a very good exerience. I would definately stop here again.

Stopped by here this past weekend with a fellow homebrewer. This place is located right beside the interstate, so it's really easy to find and get to. It's mostly geared toward gourmet wine and candy type stuff, but they also have an area and cooler for beer. They have a somewhat small area where the beer is kept, but it's really well stocked. Plenty of selection of micros and plenty of imports. There was some stuff here that I'd been looking for as well. The staff seemed helpful and friendly. Nice place.

A very nice store that is easy to deal with and offers a very good selection of quality beers. There are quite a few areas dedicated to beer and lots of them are in one wall filling walk-in cooler to one side of the large retail space. I don't think the cooler is really designed for patron walk in use, but no one objected to my having a look around. I found several brews here that I'd never seen or heard of previously, indicating that they are willing to provide a lot of variety. The standard micros are all represented well and there is nice supply of imports as well. The parking is for the shop only and this place is busy enough to keep most spots filled. No on-street parking available on this busy street. Great service and helpful staff.

Cork 'N' Bottle has been around forever, at least as long as I've been in Cincy (1980). I went in there looking for some Utopias earlier this year. The manager said he was getting some in and eventually sold me several bottles at a very reasonable price while others were gouging as they saw fit. While there I asked him if they had any DFH 120, Stone Imperial, New Glarus anything. He wrote it all down and gave me a personal call to let me know the Stone was in and he was keeping an eye out for the others. That's above and beyond in my book and I will continue to patronize their store to show my appreciation. The singles case is well stocked with many beers I have not yet tried, making decisions devilishly difficult at times. They have cases on the floor which I'm not really a fan of, but they are at least trying to stock as much as they possibly can. They have limited space, so selection cannot match that of Jungle Jims or Party Source/Town, but they do good to offer as much as they do.

The Cork 'N Bottle is a fairly nice store that sells many kinds of fine beer. The have many singles of micros and imports in the cooler, as well as 6 packs and big bottles. They had a great selection of English beer, an alright selection of Belgian stuff, and a good selection of German beer. The prices are fair also. They seem to keep everything well rotated, which is nice. You can even find some rare treats here as well. I found a couple of Samichlaus 2000 vintage for a good price. The service is very nice, and the staff is friendly and quite knowledgable. A nice place to try right off the interstate just right across the river from Cincinnati.
