Rum has summarized this place in many different ways...

It's right up about 7 blocks west of the famous McCabe's Guitar Shop (home to many a fine music perfomance, but zero beer.. *sigh*)

Home to about 9 permenant taps and 3-4 jockey box taps, In the refrigerator box lies a fair number of things from Unibroues, Chimays, Browns, etc...

The whiskey, bourbon, tequila and vodka list is absolutely terrifying for the average commuting drinker.

This is definately a neighborhood place, in the sense that alot of folks know each other, but not in the sense of being terribly insular from the joe off the street. It's all good, with probably not the closest care for beer in LA, but a lot more than just about any other place.

This is a place the locals go to hang out. Make sure you have the address or you could drive right by the place. The Daily Pint is spelled in news print style type. I was told it has been there for about thirty to forty years. I hope the person who told me that is accurate.

There is not much to this establishment. The atmosphere is very pub like. Wooden bar with stools and a wooden ledge against the wall to set drinks down. No tables. The rest of the space is taken up by three pool tables, two foos ball tables and a dartboard. There is an older rundown quality or lack of quality to this establishment. Depending on who you are that means the place has loads of character or it needs to be remodeled. Many beer and alcohol signs and mirrors cover the walls. I noticed they do beer/bus trips to Anahiem Angel games.

The people who frequent the place are most likely locals and their friends. Many seem to know the bartender and there is a lively we all know each other feel to this place. I've even seen people give the bartender a helping hand on busy nights. It gives the pint a very nice feeling of everybody's welcome here. The age level was mid to late twenties to pretty old.

There is no food service. They have a full bar and carry a large variety of scotches.

They have about seventeen taps. They were divided between micros and imports. Some of the brews on tap were: Stella Atrois, Bass, Anderson Valley, Guinness, Firestone, MacTarnahan's, Fuller's, Boddington's, Pyramid and a few others. In the sliding glass door refridgerator there is a nice variety from macro's to micro's to imports. ESB, Fuller's, Samuel Smith's, Duvel, Chimay, Delerium Tremens, Red Stripe, Flying Dog, Young's, Murphy's, Spaten, Anchor Steam and many more. I would bet the refrigerator rotate's some. Here today drank by tomorrow and will return when convienent. They also had a large variety of beer glass styles. Pint style, Belgians, flutes, etc.

There are no waiters or waitresses. The lone bartender was friendly and working very hard. Tip well, she was all alone. It was a weekday. On weekends when the crowds are larger there is more of a staff.

All in all a fine pub to drink a few pints and spirits. Do not expect any frills other than a nice ale and a friendly working class attitude.
