Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with ahalf finger white head with great retention and lacing. Light aroma of bready and biscuit malt with citrus and lightly piney hops. Looks and smells pretty good. Flavor follows aroma with biscuit malt, citrus hops with mild piney and grassy elements. Finishes with a hint of pine resin and citrus hops. Medium bodied. Decided to try the remaining Mission St. ales because of a rumored change in brewers for Trader Joes. Glad I tried this one. I expect good, but not notable ales from these inexpensive house beers, but this one is darn good for the price. If pale ales were a style I drank a lot, I'd have no hesitation to buying this regularly. A pleasant surprise.

Mission St. Pale Ale has a thin, white head, a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, noticeable tiny white specs suspended throughout, and some small amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of pale malt, mild citrus, and maybe a kiss of the hops. Taste is the same, with minimal hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is pretty light, and Mission St. Pale Ale finishes mostly dry and easy drinking.
