A - Pours honey orange with a nice haze. Nice white head which quickly faded. Good lacing down the glass.

S - Orange, spice, a bit of sweetness and floral.

T - Slightly acidic at first then turns into sweetness (almost a little too sweet). Orange and spice quickly follow through. Once your tongue gets used to the sweetness, it becomes a little watery.

M - Light mouth feel with medium carbonation. Smooth and creamy. Very little detectable alcohol.

O - Very interesting beer. Maybe a touch too sweet, but overall a very nice drinkable beer. Good change of pace and will keep this in the fridge for the summer when it's hot outside.

Bought this in a 6 pack / 12 ounce bottles. Chilled then drank in a 13 ounce goblet.

Poured a pale yellow with a one finger bright white head.

Smell was a fruity - grassy typical Witbier look.

Taste was a familiar/ fruity / clean Wit which was surprisingly similar to Hoegarden, very clean and refreshing.

Mouthfeel was smooth and light would be a great choice for those looking to venture into the Belgian beers or Witbiers.

Extremely drinkable and fresh and this would be a great choice for a summer cook due to its refreshing qualities and lower ABV.

I rated this beer fairly high but it should not be construed to mean it is in the caliber of Sam Adams Imperial White or a Dogfish Head Red & White.

Less sweet than Blue Moon and softer on the palate than Shock Top but definitely in the class of Hoegaarden at domestic prices.

This one is worth a try.

While in Austin, Tx in March, and learning I was 'two years' too late to drink 'Celis', I stood in the local market and there were the first bottles delivered to Austin from Michigan! Couldn't believe it! Unfortunately I can't draw on comparisons to the Austin brews, so the BA reviews are great to read.

A translucent golden-yellow pour with healthy white head, this aroma packed medium bodied wit releases the citrus, coriander and wheat malt attributes in full doses. The mouthfeel is weaker than expected, with a citrusy-malty finish. I'll be a fan of this wit, but still prefer Hoegaarden.

Had this at home after a long day at work....

Pours a hazy straw-color with minimal head, what little there was appeared cream in color. Tiny yeast particles float happily in the bubbly concoction.

Smells of coriander, ORANGES, lemons to a lesser extent.... a yeasty breadiness asserts itself throughout.

More of the same in the taste, although more tart than I expected. Only a minute flash of hops shows itself in the finish. Very effervescent, almost too bubbly. Overall, very good, tasty authentic Belgian witbier.

Very refreshing, an excellent session beer. Can't wait to try it on tap very soon.

A - Slightly cloudy and golden color. The head froths up a little and fizzes out quickly, no lace.

S - A good mix of coriander and orange peel. Not overpowering, but pleasant and soft.

T - The difference between this and some other whites I've had is the prominence of the orange peel. It's got a bitterness to it that I attributed to bitter orange peel, but it could be hops - I don't know. It played down the sweet and sour, and stepped up the bitter to make it very refreshing and unique.

M - A medium-light body - middle o' the road.

D - Very nice. The balance and flavors were all there. I would be happy with a case of these.

A: Cloudy with a nice head that dissipates fast.

S: Mmmm...all kinds of herbal and citrus scents abound from the glass.

T: Delicious. Slightly tart, somewhat sweet, this is a great White Ale, one of the very best on the market.

M: Very easy on the palate - like a crisp lemonade, with a hint of chamomile.

D: This is definitely a session beer (at under 5%). On a hot summer day, I could gulp down several of these.

I used to have friends bring back Celis White and Grand Cru from Texas back in the late 90's, and I firmly believe that the MBC version is just as good as the Austin version.

Essentially this beer straddles the line between a white and a wheat beer. I think the combination interesting and refreshing to drink. I'd say the overall taste in the mouth is closer to a wheat beer, though there are clear hints of a belgian white without the creaminess.

I find this beer to be a fine sunday night selection for sitting in front of the tv and not thinking too hard about definitions and hard lines between styles.

Purchased a 12 oz bottle

The appearance is a thick light yellow with a thin layer of bright white head.

Smell is very wheat-y with a light hint of fruit like apricots, peaches, and apples.

Taste- Very distinct flavor typical of a Belgian-Style Wheat Beer. Very clean, similar to Hoegarder but slightly more crisp.

Very quaffable and fresh.

Very clean finish, no bitter sharp taste, very even coat of flavoring. Very acomidating with spicy food and pastas alike.

Appearance - The appearance is an average yellowish haze for a wheat beer. The head is what made the appearance for me not that good. There is little to no head and for a wheat I would expect a nice full white head.

Smell - There is a powerful spice smell and is very welcoming to the nose.

Taste - There is a fruity lemon? spicey taste to this beer. It's got a bitter taste to it also.

Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel is average, not too much excitement when it hits every part of my mouth.

Drinkability - This is a beer that I could drink on average, it has a refreshing feeling to it and the taste is great. Overall this is a good beer.

A - Pale straw yellow, thin white head that is gone in a flash.

S - Love the smell of this brew, citrus with a touch of yeastiness. Very refreshing.

T - Lemon and citrus, with some spice to it, probably coriander.

M - Thin, but very drinkable.

Overall this is a decent beer, definitely nothing I would turn down. A very accurate representation of a wit.

A - Light gold in color. Not a clear beer by any means, slightly cloudy. You can still see through the glass but just slightly. Good head at pour, but subsides very quickly leaving lacing on the glass.

S - Great Belgian beer smell, exactly what I would expect from a Belgian white.

T - Good flaver although there is a feeling of something missing which leaves a feeling of light on taste.

M - Good carbonation, but a lighter beer than expected.

D - Average, overall this is just a typical Belgian white.

A: Whitish cloudiness gives this beer a pale yellow color that is nearly perfect for the style.

S: Spice and wheat elements present, but not overly pleasant.

T: Tangy tartness on the front palate. Almost sweet on the mid palate followed by notes of corn on the back palate. Very good complexity that persists through the whole beer.

M: The acidic tartness in the mouth feels like it matches this beer well.

D: After the first, I'm ready for the second. This one is very drinkable.

Color me impressed. Did not really expect too much out of this one, but I think this is seriously a world class beer. I should qualify that I prefer Hoegaarden to the likes of Blue Moon and Shock Top. Orange/lemon flavors are not as strong in this beer which is good.
