Straw amber with faint red tinges throughout & topped by a foamy white, two-fingers width head that has nice retention along with leaving some light lacing on the glass.

Not the strongest on the nose but a pleasant pilsener aroma to it none the less. There is a sweet grassy hops and corn aroma along with a little grain and lager like malts.

Sweet tasting beer that the nose hints at, there is some corn and grassy hops in there too. It tastes pretty straight forward but it is nice, crisp and has some good floral notes too.

Pretty smooth with a light to medium body and a nice crisp, refreshing finish which is also mildly bitter feel to it.

It isn't the most complex beer I have ever had but still one that I enjoyed and it is one that I would have again.

Poured from a mini can into a small beer glass.

Pours golden, brilliant, thick head of creamy foam that drops down to 1/4inch. Beer smell. Pilsy. Smooth clean crisp taste, light bodied. Very single, not to describe, but a solid easy beer.

Great little german pils alternative.

A: Pours golden with a generous white creamy head that after dissipation leaves great lacings.

S: Some sweetness in the malt and then there's grassy hops and lemon notes. Faint smell of white bread.

T: Bready sweet malt with bitter hops and only faint citric notes - just what you expect (and hopes for) in a German Pilsener. To bad the taste isn't stronger.

M: Aftertaste is kind of a dissapointment - short and far away from the bitterness the taste raised your hopes to. Body is medium and carbonation is balanced.

D: Overall a nice German Pilsener. If the taste had been a little stronger and the aftertaste a little longer and more bitter this would have been worldclass.

My Cuz married a German bird and he and his hottie are Krombacher fans so I bought some for them on their recent visit. This is a typical German Style Pils. The color is golden clear with good carbonation that provides a thin white head that appears to be lacing. Grain and barley power the aroma on this beer...not much else. The taste is a standard German pils with a kick of wheat/barley/grain. Mouthfeel is good, on the lighter side which makes for a good session. Overall...its a good German pils.

Served from a fresh keg at the Atlanta German Bierfest.

Medium golden color; clear with a durable and frothy head.

As expected the aroma features light malt and hops, but with a nice note of baked bread and a hint of fruit. The taste is less interesting and nuanced. While I did not notice any flaws it did seem under-hopped.

M: near medium body; very good carbonation; smooth

Krombacher Pilsner 4.8% 0.5L can

A This tasting was directly from the can, so I can't comment on it's color. Last time was on tap an was a deep golden and clear. The head was thick on initial pour and faded toward the end. 3.5

S A mild malty aroma, slight hop aroma, but not much of anything else. 3

T Malty, a little old tasting. There is some hop flavor. A little astringent in the end. More malt than anything. 3.5

M This is a medium body beer, thick on the tongue. Carbonation was good. 4

D Good beer, better cold than warm and one of the better German Pilsners I've had in Germany. There is either a lack of good Pilsners, or I had a particularly difficult time finding them. Having tried several nasty examples, I was quite happy to find the Krombaacher. 3.5

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a three finger tall loose foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a medium sized thick dense patch and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of bready and grainy malts with some lighter notes of floral hops. Light amounts of sweetness are present as well.

T: There is a moderate presence of bready malts with s very light amount of bitterness which does not linger.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and clean.

O: This is a very easy to drink beer, quite sessionable, and enjoyable. Nothing special about this beer but definitely a beer that would be easy to have a couple in a sitting. Would pair well with a meat-heavy German meal.

Another decent German pilsner, very drinkable but not exactly craftsmanship. Pours a slighly cloudy golden color and gives respectable, if not mindblowing head. Smell has a melange of citrus, hops, and cereals,. Interesting.
A round, thick flavor with nice hoppy bitterness that does what its suppossed to do. Mouthfeel is a little grainy but I didn't mind it like with some beers.
Not an exquisite beer but tasty and goes down the hatch quite easily. This is workmanlike, blue collar beer typical of the style.

A: Poured into a pint glass, this is a crystal clear pale straw colored beer with a dense, tall head, about 3/4ths of an inch.
S: Aroma is a bit disappointing. Putting my nose close to the class, I do get the appropriate pils malt aroma, with light noble hops.
T: Disappointing bitterness as well--fairly low, with little hop flavor. Malt is alright, but what's a German pils that just relies on malt?
M: average.

Disappointing pils. I've been in the mood for German pils lately, and I'd never tried this one before.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down but consistently left a thin head covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass..
S: There are aromas of bready and grainy malts and floral hops in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell, except the malty flavors are more bready and less grainy. A light to moderate amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied, clean and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The malty base doesn’t make it feel light-bodied or watery.
O: There’s nothing overly special about this pilsener, but it’s quite easy to drink and would pair well with some German food.

Pours a clear, light golden color and a generous white frothy head with decent retention.
There's not much going on for the nose, just subtle malty and grainy aroma in the back.
The taste is gentle, sweet at the beginning, followed by nicely balanced body.
The finish is decently bitter (nice).
Smooth and easily drinkable. Enough taste.
