Appearance: Darker yellow, hazy. Pours a massive, clean, and creamy white head. Quite pretty actually!

Aroma: Fairly fresh, hint of citrus and spices. Quite a mild aroma, not offending at all.

Taste: Nice and light. No excess sweetness. No depth either, but it doesn't matter that much in a beer of this type. Would be perfect on a hot day.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied, very smooth. Pleasant to drink.

Overall: This may be one of the best low alcohol beers I've had. The weizen style is perhaps a bit more forgiving in this regard than some others, but I've certainly had worse beers of this style that are not low in alcohol. It's mild and refreshing, but without the typical side tastes or excessive sweetness that you get with many low alcohol beers.

500ml bottle poured into a pils glass by freshness date.

A:
Cloudy yellow color with an amber tinge, thick billowy white head forms up with very good retention before gradually falling to everlasting foamy crown and leaves several clingy lace patches. There are some sediment particles floating around the body from the push of high carbonation.

S:
Sweet malt, fruity yeast, citrus, lemon peel, some clove spice along with hint of banana bread.

T:
There is a trace of fruity ester from yeast providing citrus zest and vague hint of banana. A bit malty sweet reinforces with some note of dough, very faint to almost nil bitterness from hop.

M:
The body is light to moderate, smooth mouthfeel with lively crispness from fine carbonation that also generates good refreshing touch.

O:
Surprisingly good, it owns an attractive appearance along with more depths than typical low alcohol beer especially in term of aroma and flavor. This one really just a bit attenuates from Hefeweizen, a great copycat.

500 mL brown bottle acquired as part of the MLCC's new MADD supporting alcohol-free options. Dated 28-03-12. Poured ~5C into a fluted glass.

A: Really surprising here, as I am expecting little from an NA beer. Orangey brown and hazy, although there is something odd about it, but no big deal. Tons of tight white head that laces and sticks with the pour the whole way through!
S: Once again a great surprise with hefeweizen aromas all over the place. Cloves & banana, although a touch lighter than I would have liked with a bit of malty sweetness.
T: Not bad at all. Some thickness and sweetness along with some esters that play well. Definite banana, cloves and a hint of black pepper. Wheat in the body.
M: Pretty good, although I first felt there was something a little thin and unnatural about it, it seems good now. Barely any bitterness, but some settles on your tongue. Finishes we'll with no off flavours in the aftertaste.
O: A rock solid beer for what it is, an NA. I have had much worse hefeweizens than this beer before. I am excited for this beer, as I now know if I can't drink one night there is more than O'Douls....
