500 ml can served cold into a pint glass. Purchased from local LCBO for about $2.50 CDN.

Appearance - Dull golden color that is clear and has a few lively bubbles. About 1 finger of white head is poured with modest retention.

Smell - Some graininess, namely a sweet corn aroma with some substantial malt lingering just behind. Overall smell is weak though.

Taste - Starts a bit sweet, then a strange dryness comes into the flavor, completely sapping whatever taste there was. Then finishes a bit maltier (after the flavor has come back) and the booze is well hidden for what it is. Moderately bitter.

Mouthfeel - A bit flat and lacking. oddly dry finish.

Overall - It's not bad for what it is, but would rather have Warka Strong if I'm having a strong Euro Lager. Booze was surprisingly well hidden. The sum of this beer is greater than each of its parts.

Looks good. Light amber. A bit darket than most lagers. Good head and decent lacing.

The taste is very malty and diacetyl is present in a welcome way. There is a good balance of mild bitterness and the beer drinks just as easily as weaker Polish lagers in the 5.5 - 6% range.

Overall, a tasty full bodied lager. Certainly tastes like a macro beer and has no major points of interest. However it has a good thick flavour due to the high abv and a nice buttery sweetness.

Nice strong lager, my favourite of the polish ones. Ap: served from the can to a pint glass, propper foam, not much gas, orange browned Sm: not very smelly, bit of alcohol, T: punch of alcohol, a bit of caramel and malt after, kicks strong, perfect to relax after a hard day.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden straw amber with a two finger white head that dissipates quickly to a thick cap with heavy lacing. Aroma malty; bready malt, slightly sour and grainy. Similar to a somewhat soured bock. Flavor is sweet malt, grain and adjuncts, hints of apple juice and diacetyl. Hints of hops and oxidation in the finish. Mild flavor does not quite cover the alcohol, tasting like a fortified light bock. Light bodied with decent carbonation. This can is also labled "Malt Liquor" obviously for the US market and that is actually a good description. This tastes like a slightly maltier adjunct lager fortified for getting a buzz. Except for the diacetyl, no real off flavors, but nothing much to recommend it either. A cheap, fortified lager. Needed to tick this brewery and style. Done and moving on.
