The food here is typical pub fare, nothing special, the beer selection although wide, was primarily limited to mega-breweries, very few local beers available here.
Overall I would not recommend this place to a serious beer aficionado. It's a trendy place trying to take advantage of their location in a tourist area. I would compare it to Karl Strauss at Universal Studios Hollywood. Lame, lame, lame.

Decent sports bar with good food and decent beer. They have six beers on tap, from the water flavored Juan Moore Light to the pretty good Buttface Amber.
It's not someplace I'd seek out unless there was a game on or I happened to be in the neighborhood and craving a microbrew.

I stopped here a couple times while on vacation, since the options were limited by the ballpark and stadium. The place was very busy on both occasions. The first was right before a Rangers game, and the second came before the Michigan v alabama game. It had a great sports bar vibe. There are lots of tv's, and a shuttle ran to both the games I was attending making it convenient.
The service was quite adequate considering how busy it was. I sampled several of the in house brews. None of them stood out. On the second visit I did eat. I got shrimp tacos, and they were the most memorable food of my visit to the Dallas area. They were quite delicious.
I enjoyed the fact that they catered to Michigan fans, as well as 'bama. I heard the "Victors" a couple times and "In the Big House" so that made me a bit biased towards the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the environment and the food. I wouldn't go for the beer though.

Fantastic sports bar that has shuttle service to the game. Best thing about this place it that its sports frendly. Beer Advocate and Foodie friendly, not so much.
The Big Horn brewing is decent. Nothing dazzling. I had a few red IPA's and they were solid B's. I also ordered a mirroe pond with a near date ending bottle. Wasn't fresh at all. Probably don't sell much there. I understand.
Food: It's normal bar food. It;s all good, but nothign innovative or great. it's good american pub food.
Overall, this is not a BA worthy place to go out of you way to get to. if you are goign to a game or watching sports, then that's a different story. It's fantastic for that! Nice clean and attractive looking sports bar. Huge too!

A - It is an above average sports bar atmosphere that actually plays the sound of the key game of the day, which is a big frustration for me (when you go to a sports bar and they play music, I go nuts). It is generally clean.
Q - Above average quality, but it isn't anything that has ever elicited a "wow." It's a good, solid experience all around.
S - Good service. The wait staff has never disappointed. They usually have a lot going on and they are able to manage a lot of people pretty well.
S - We stick pretty closely to their Amber and their version of IPA. They also have wheat beer and a knockoff of Dos Equis as well as stout. None of the beer is particularly great, but it is good.
F - The food ranges from okay to very good. It is not great, but I've never had anything bad, either. I will take consistently good over wild fluctuations in quality any day. Stick with the pub fair and you will be satisfied with a very good burger or fish taco.
V - Can be on the pricey side, but every Friday you can find a 2-for-1 coupon for a dinner entree in the FW Star-Telegram. On Sundays, the beer is $2/pint, which can't be beat.

I've been in Arlington, TX for over 20 years, and have been in Humperdinks many times for many occasions. I love to brew and therefore love to critique other homebrews and microbrews. Not my thing for Friday/Sat nights - insanely crowded last few times and resultant slow service, though you can't blame the staff. I love sampling there beers - especially seasonals. Now having said that...the last time I went in and asked for the Belgian seasonal (Dubbel style), they served me up a hefy. When I asked about it, I got a git of an argument. He poured another "sampler" glass and showed me which tap it came from. I'll be damned if he didn't serve me another friggin hefy! He said he was not allowed to taste to confirm, but stood by his guns that he had just served me a dubbel. The hotty sitting next to me took a sip and agreed with me. I could not convince the stubborn and now not so friendly barkeep that the keg was on the wrong tap. Oh well, I guess it's a good thing I like hefy's! Sure would like to try that illusive Belgian though...
When I asked if I could see the brewery, I was curtly told "that's why we have a giant window in front of it" - he walked away, which implied to me in a fairly crappy manner that they don't like tours. Also, they have an awesome deal on "to go" half-gallons of beer...what they fail to tell you is that you have approximately 2 hours to drink it before it goes flat.
Generally speaking, the food and wait service is good if you go during non-peak hours/days. Just don't expect much from the bar or brewmaster-who can not be summoned to save your life!

addison location seems to be dying. no seasonal on tap. food and service were ok. i had the ipa which was horribly oxidized and tasted sour from line or less-likely infection. i was never impressed with the beer and i hate to slam any brewpub- but i wont be back or to any of their locations. reminds me of a circa 1995 brewpub chain beer. the place was nearly empty except for the few nursing home residents that were apparantly dropped off. it makes me mad because one beer like that for someone just trying craft beer can turn them off.
sorry, this was supposed to be the place on belt line in addison

A - I was with a rowdy military group, so the drinking experience could have been better, but overall I'd say the atmosphere was pretty decent. More flashy than most brewpubs I've been to, but not overly so.
Q - Clean, well-maintained, and the lighting seemed about right. Music wasn't too loud and they had pleny of TV screens for sports fans.
S - Excellent service. Our waitress was constantly coming over to check on us. I personally was getting my drinks from the bar (habit), and the bartenders were very attentative and knowledgable.
S - Good selection of food and a decent collection of brewed-on-premise beers. Most of the ones I sampled were quite good. The Hefe and Oktoberfest in particular stood out. The porter and IPA were both exceptional. The only one that kinda disappointed me was the amber.
F - Much better than most other brewpubs I've been to. They have a great selection of premium burgers and pizza, plus a plethora of other tempting menu items.
V - Kinda pricey, but you get your money's worth.

I was on my way to The Texas Rangers vs. Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles game when I remember a friend on mine mentioning this place called Big Horns. I ended up searching on my GPS for places to go and grab a bite to eat and a drink or two before the game. Humperdinks pops up and I thought it sounded interesting. Upon showing up, I see that Big Horn Brewery is either the one brewing the beer, or this is their site. I did not have time to find out, as the waited did not seem all that psyched up about beer, and I was late to getting to the game. I got a Total Disorder Porter and Buttface amber Ale with my Turkey Melt. Both were refreshing and decent examples of their styles. They had lots and lots of TV's, the bar area was packed (this is where I sat at) and the service was decent. I would go back if I went to a game again, but not make a special trip out there if I was staying in Dallas.

Humperdinks is located off of 360 by Six Flags and close to Ranger stadium (it is customary to stop by Dinks after a game and have a pint or two). Atmosphere is great, they have TV's all over the place so you can catch the sports action. Food is ok, nothing to write home about although it hits the spot. Service is ok, sometimes better than others. The beer is above average and the real reason I visit. Alan Sparkman makes a fantastic Heffeweizen, one of my favorite styles and one that keeps me coming back to Humperdinks. That's not the only brew he makes, and certainly not the only good one on tap, just happens to be my favorite. If you are in the area it is worth a trip over!
