I really enjoy the regular Switchback Ale so decided to take a chance on this and oh boy was that a smart decision. This IPA-Pilsner love child is the best of both worlds. You get the flavor and citrus taste of an IPA with the drinkability of a Pilsner. A wonderful summer style beer that is refreshing and flavorful. Definitely will be buying again!

I like this brewery and bought a variety pack with this one in it. Slightly cloudy, color of straw with nice head and lacing. Crisp, fruity taste with smooth finish. Has a slightly fruity aroma and ample carbonation. Another very good brew from Switchback!

I tried this beer at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had hints of citrus. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus peel presence. the mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

i love the idea of a slightly hoppy pils type, especially with fruity new school varietals, and i think this objectively very good beer, but i also think they went a little too heavy handed with it, at least in terms of bitterness. i like it, but its approaching the india pale lager level, and as much as i liked it, it was a little bit too much for my dad, who likes lagers, like a crisp pils type, and can handle some hops from time to time, but this was just past the level where someone on the fence with this sort of thing would be comfortable. the cool thing through is that its obviously citra, a nice expression of the hop in nose and taste. i also like how light and dry it is, minimal body and a snappy, well conditioned sort of finish, the lager yeast not contributing a ton of flavor, but its work here is evident. there is a light crackery doughy aspect to the malt, and the unfiltered aspect of this leaves that well intact, but the beer stays real simple and refreshing, if you dont mind the finishing bitterness, which is i suppose somewhat high for citra, maybe there is some saaz or something in here too. excellent carbonation, and a good morning beer for me. i think if they scaled back the bitterness, they would increase their reach with this one, but its a unique and nicely made beer, a perfect way to get the day started, and very summery!

Not your typical pills. Hop forward, but not unpleasant. Citrus is not fruit specific, as some are very grapefruit, this is not. Straw in color. Lace head down the glass. Clean feel. The more I drink, the more I like this beer. Great summer addition.

From the bottle, it pours a hazy golden color with a nice thick head. In the head, come citrus is evident. in the mouth, it has a nice pilsner hop bite, feels good in the mouth and has a pleasant aftertaste.
