Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a bright gold color with a very thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of bready malts, spices, caramel and a little bit of hops.

T: The taste is starts out with some spice & lemon along with a hearty malt character. Then a mild but complimentary hops presence comes in to provide a little balance. The after-taste is bready and slightly sweet.

M: Smooth with a little crispness, medium body, medium carbonation, clean and dry finish.

D: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, decent representation of style, I could drink a few of these but I think it would be better with food and there are better beers in the style.

12 ounce bottle at La Paz Mexican Restaraunt in El Segundo

Poured a light brown color into a cold glass

No head and the smell was average for a lager

Nice crisp taste to go along with my enchilada plate

Could drink a lot of these if scarfing down some rice and beans along with it

Not nearly as bad as I was expecting. As far as the Mexican beers I have tried so far, it is not quite as good as Negro Modelo, but is mucho better than Corona, Tecate, etc. Light malt flavor. Aroma is hard to comment on because all I could smell was the lime. All in all I would probably try this again as it went with my enchiladas fairly well.

poured a pale yellow color with slight white head that fell to a very slight white ring. Smell is very light and almost non-existent. Tsste is very light with a slight hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is very light and not much to describe. Easy to drink, but not much else.

12oz bottle at Jalepenos on downtown Sandpoint .

This beer pours a clear, medium golden yellow colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and yet somewhat creamy bone-white head, which leaves some spotty o Ean

It smells of semi-sweet corn grits and cereals, mild acetone esters, a further breadiness, and a faint earthy earthy bitterness. The taste is grainy pale malt, astringent corn mass, a small chemical plant effluent edginess, and pithy earthy dead leafy hops.

The carbonation is pretty innocuous, barely a wan frothiness presiding, the body mealy middleweight, and plainly smooth, the inherent corniness coming through the rye (figuratively, of course). It finishes off-dry, the gritty corn keeping it's hold on the whole deal.

Not really all that bad, especially on a finally cooled down 100 degree day - not that this is really indicative of the style listed here. Sort of a one and done for me, as my steak looks like a way better option than another one of these.

pours a respectable gold with a fizzy white head that diminishes almost immediatly. smells grainy, a bit of citrus, a little skunky. taste? pretty simple...clean, touch of corn, light bitterness matched with a light sweetness. pretty bland but not bad. decent mouthfeel, a bit thin, but when matched with the simple flavor it is refreshing. i imagine it would be good with spicey food or as a football beer. its alright in my book.

A: Pours a dull, light straw colored brew with crisp lines. Head is really nice; full, creamy, fluffy and snow white.

S: Dry grass, white grapes with really dry biscuits

T: Begins dry and somewhat grainy. Some vegetable sweetness comes in next including pees, corn and potato. Oily mineral taste is present as well, that trademark "Mexican" taste that accompanies most south of the border beers. There's a slight sour twang that resembles lime which would probably blossum if an actual lime wedge was added. Finishes metallic and dry. Now I'll add the lime and what a difference it makes...really cuts through the oily mineral taste.

M: Thin and hard with a touch of carbo sting.

D: Not my favorite Mexican lager but not bad. The lime helped.

Interesting beer from Mexico. Mildly bitter after taste with overtones of roasted hops and barley, and just a touch of oats flavor. Medium to high carbonation, with a medium white head. I would choose this over many other Mexican brews, for which i think this is probably the best beer Mexico has sent across the boarder.

Looks thin, pale yellow with a weird almost electric tint, and little head.

Smells bread like with lots of skunky smells coming immediately out when I opened the bottle.

Tastes better than the smell indicates. Bread like, a bit malty, with little sweetness or bitterness.

Feels thicker than I thought it would.

Really a drinkable beer and I'm glad to have had it, but it's nothing to seek out.

Pours an extremely clear pale yellow. So pale it resembles white wine. The 1 1/2 finger head dissipates very quickly. The smell as well as the taste is that of a very faint sweetness. It finishes almost in a disappointing way....leaves you high and dry "so to speak". The mouthfeel is barely more refined than water. I feel like I could drink alot of these, but could a stand repeated "high and dry" episodes is the big question. It went okay with the food, but the food outdid the beer. Think I'll try the Dos XX next. Salud!

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Typical pale straw gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is faint grains and corn. Flavor is actually not too bad. Grainy, low on the awful corn syrup flavor that most pale lagers have, might even be a touch of hops with a light fruity note. Thin and refreshing, definitely the best choice if you're at a taqueria.

The palest of gold colors did this beer emit. The head was was white and pillowy. The aroma was very light exuding mostly malty notes with some "off" signals. On the palate, this particular ice-cold specimen, had little to offer. A bland malty profile finished off by an even blander hop offering. I didn't not find any of the flavors to be off-putting, but I felt that it was watered-down.

Short stubby brown 12oz glass bottle. Gold neck foil and a slim label in brown, gold and yellow.
Clear straw golden body with low carbonation. White tiny to small bubbled head, low retention and lace.
The smell is bready and lagerish with pale malts and abit of hops.
Slightly peppered grain flavor, not much else going on.
Very light body and a dry finish.
Boring and bland, low drinkability.

This beer poured a crystal clear golden body with a small white head.

The nose was a very soft mix of corn, rice, rather floral and hints of skunk.

The taste was light bodied with a rice or corn taste and slightly skunked malt. Very highly carbonated. Some Vienna and mild biscuit malt taste. The big surprise about this beer is the big hop bitterness and floral hop taste. Unlike most macros even some other big hoppy Mexicans this one is really pretty hoppy (as far as the style goes)

Much better than you standard Mexican lager. Not quite as bland as corona but still not much too it. I wouldn’t hesitate having this one again if I were in a Mexican mood.

The pour was a light yellow with a one finger head that quickly dissapated and left a light white lace on top.

The smell was very undefined. As the beer warmed a light lager skunk showed it's head. Somewhere in the rear of the nose was a sweet fruit accent.

The drink started with a quick hit of malt sweetness followed by a hint of carbonation. The finish was a very faint hint of fruit. Once again the taste followed with the smell, quite undefined.

The overall feel of this one was very American macro crap to me. I just didn't care for it at all. Even though it was refreshing, if I wanted refreshing I'd buy Aquafina not beer. The water is cheaper!

This beer pours a golden color that is akin to urine with no darkness or haze to it. The smell is unfortunately the same, with just a hint of wheat behind it. The taste is very light, much like an American macro-lager. A bit of carbonation as well keeps this beer from lingering on the tongue too long, but still is not able to get the taste down in enough time. I imagine the only reason you’d drink this beer is if you were in Mexico and you wanted some local flavor, but its definitely not something you’d seek out otherwise.

I don't know what it is about Mexico that they think they make a descent beer. This beer poured out very light in color. It didn't produce much of a head which is not what I would expect from a lager. Unfortunatly, the flavor of this beer was as unimpressive as its coloring. I've read that when eating spicy foods, you should drink beer that has a high ABV because the alcohol is what cuts the heat. The article also said that water won't rescue you from the fire. I've never been to Mexico but you know what they say, "Don't drink the Bohemia, I mean, water".

I had decent expectations for this beer because several reading material sources spoke highly of it and I kind of thought it would be one of the better Mexican beers I'd have. Plus I had a fairly difficult time finding it for sale up here in the Northeast so it was kind of a rare treat.

Poured a big 2" head with irregular bubbles which fairly quickly setteled down to just a trace of head. Same clear yellow as the vast majority of American mass produced beers. Taste had malt and was somewhat creamy but otherwise not much happening.

Cool bottle. Forgettable contents.

A: When poured from a bottle to a mug, this beer had a bright yellow color and a totally clear texture. Very little head or lacing.

S: Not a whole lot of smell; some hops, a little malt and a bit of fruit.

T: There's an odd quality to this beer, but it's not very interesting. It has bitter hops, malt and some citrus, but it's really very thin.

M: A below average amount of carbonation and a dry finish.

D: I'm still searching for a good beer from a Latin American country. This isn't one of them. It's a pretty ordinary brew all around.

a - Pours a pale, light yellow color, very clear with not much carbonation. Pretty substantial head, but fades real quick to nothing.

s - Not much going on, thin, alcohol smell.

t - Tastes alright, but nothing really distinctive. Has some corn tastes alongside that alcohol, lager taste.

m - Light bodied with some crispiness.

d - Went well with Mexican food, and I prefer it to something like Corona, but not something I would go for at the store.

Pours clear pale yellow, with a bubbly white head. Two fingers slowly become a ring of foam that doesn't leave much lacing. You can smell the sweet malt and noble hop after the pour, but aroma becomes bland once the beer has settled. The pale, toasted malt flavor seems more influenced by Pilsner and Munich malts than Vienna. The hops are unbalanced enough to leave traces of skunk in the aftertaste. It's surprising that a Mexican style Vienna would appear more like the original german. Light in body and carbonation, it is fairly drinkable, but lacks the residual sweetness and roasted flavor key to the Vienna style.

12 ouncer sampled, no freshness dating observed. Pours very light straw, slight chill haze, slight white head, leaving just a tad of lacing. Just a few lazy bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Nose is corn/rice like. Just a typical macro lager going on here, lawn mower brew, or ice cold with some spicy mexican food. Besides that, pass this one by.

Had a Mexican themed evening with friends and decided this would compliment the food nicely.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is crystal clear yellow. About a finger of stark white head fades rather quick and leaves no lace.

The aroma is fairly muted. What I can pick up is the usual corn tortillas smell. Which I can assume is from the saaz hops. Hints of sweet malt and light breadiness.

The flavor is about the same as the nose. Faint corn and malt. A bit of skunky tartness in the finish.

Thin body with a good dose of carbonation.

Overall it washed down the spicy mexican cuisine fairly good and it was hot and humid so it was a nice thirst quencher. So technically it did it's job.

Lt gold color. WIth a foamy medium head. Aroma is sweet . A Light taste lager. It's slightly hoppy. Crisp taste. Full and smooth. Mouthfeel. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. A typical Mexican/South American Lager. Lighter tasting beer, not a lot of flavor, but it is light and refreshing.

Could almost see this as being akin to the status quo water glass at dinner. I.e. if you drink it fine, if not, no big deal; Could in fact even see having something else as the "primary" drink, with this being a secondary thing.

A lot of the beers I enjoy, I almost consider to be more of a food component to the meal vs. that of a beverage, if that makes sense, This is the other way around. Very unassuming, very neutral. Would go pretty well with just about anything and not get in the way. Could I see myself sitting down with one of these in my favorite glass and sipping? Do I see this as being a meal enhancement? No chance. But I could see drinking a bit of this with crabs, pizza, shrimp, chinese, a burger, after working in the yard, etc, etc. Probably defines the term session, although I can't imagine drinking any real number of these.

Pours a clear very pale straw color; Not much head to speak off. No lacing. Fairly bubbly. I may have picked-up on a touch of skunk in the nose as well as some grass. Not much in the way of body or mouth feel to it. Some have said it's not watery; I would tend to disagree and say that it's in fact very watery. Almost reminded me a little of my GrandDad's 'PBR' circa 75', although a tad weaker.
