Had this at a Mexican restaurant in Kittery. Pale yellow color with a very small head. Poured the second bottle more aggressively, still a small head. Little aroma, some sweet corn. The taste was faint malt with a tiny hops presence. Thin mouthfeel. It did, however, pair well with my enchiladas verde.

Pours an oddly green-tinged yellow, flat top but mega-fizzy. Clear, thin-looking, bland.

Smells revoltingly sweet. Lots of corn grain with brown sugar and little else. Just bland and sweet. While I'm surprised that it has a smell, it's not pleasantly so. It's like when you first discovered Lady Gaga had a penis. It may or may not have been a surprise, but it certainly wasn't a pleasant one.

Taste is less sweet, thankfully. Still mostly bland though - watery on the assault that gets a bit sweet, bordering on malty, towards the mid, a touch of cereal grain on there that becomes slightly tart towards the back. Touch of vanilla late is the most interesting thing, but it can't save an otherwise very bland palate.

Bit of texture on the feel but still pretty thin. Carbonation tingle is not overblown though.

There seems to be a noticeable effort put into this beer that isn't present in most bland Mexican lagers. But it's not enough for me not to lump this in with all the others as uninspiring, insipid swill.

Ya know, just not a bad all around brew. Sure, the ol’ lite straw/yellow color, could use a better white head. But some hints of malt and bread in the aroma , and then a nice, well bodied taste. First, you could detect some earthy malts, then some lite doughy breads. Finished properly balanced.

As many other reviewers note, try this one – it can stand on it’s own. Why the hell the site says *not recommended*, with a 3.25 average, is beyond me.

A good, tasty Vienna lager treat.

poured a pale yellow color with slight white head that fell to a very slight white ring. Smell is very light and almost non-existent. Tsste is very light with a slight hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is very light and not much to describe. Easy to drink, but not much else.

Without a doubt my favorite Mexican macro beer...it actually has flavor and a hop scent!

A - Golden yellow with a nice white head and a trace of lace.

S - Certainly not a hop bomb but hey what is that? Oh..hops in the aroma! Nice for a macro beer....then the malty graininess takes over.

T - Crisp, light grain with a twing of a hop bite....nice. Very dry aftertaste.

M - Light and crisp....lacking any real body....disappointing.

D - Nice and smooth with a slight hop bite...wonderful for a Mexican macro. Certainly the only beer I actually look for when in the country! One has to put what you are drinking into perspective.

Ok bought in the 12 oz memorably shaped brown bottle..nice simple label.
Average looking good lager colour..light golden with a nice sized head..thats persistent.
Actually quite a good aroma to this for a mexican beer..very hoppy with nice malt.
This is a good lager beer for sure..some traits reminicent of a Czech pilsner..with a ltlle more sweet malts..very nice hopping.
Pretty nice fel on the palate.
A very nice and drinkable lager from Mexico..i would have this again.

This beer pours a mildly hazy pale golden color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes quickly into a thin cap of lacing. The aroma is of pale malt, caramel, and a hint of noble hops. The taste is like the aroma, but a bit milder. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Overall, this is a decent beer that I could drink in a pinch, but would otherwise.

12 ounce bottle at La Paz Mexican Restaraunt in El Segundo

Poured a light brown color into a cold glass

No head and the smell was average for a lager

Nice crisp taste to go along with my enchilada plate

Could drink a lot of these if scarfing down some rice and beans along with it

12oz bottle

A- Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head that quickly disappears.

S- The aroma is very faint grain and not much else.

T- The taste like the aroma is very pale malts with a dry finish. Not a whole lot of flavor, and the flavor that is there is nothing to write home about.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied and heavily carbonated.

D- it would probably be pretty easy to throw back a few of these after a long day but I don't know I'd want to. I'm just not very impressed with this brew.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Typical pale straw gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is faint grains and corn. Flavor is actually not too bad. Grainy, low on the awful corn syrup flavor that most pale lagers have, might even be a touch of hops with a light fruity note. Thin and refreshing, definitely the best choice if you're at a taqueria.

Lt gold color. WIth a foamy medium head. Aroma is sweet . A Light taste lager. It's slightly hoppy. Crisp taste. Full and smooth. Mouthfeel. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. A typical Mexican/South American Lager. Lighter tasting beer, not a lot of flavor, but it is light and refreshing.

Ah, Bohemia. The "stylish" beer to get on a spring break trip.

Pours yellow. Tastes fainly of wheat and malt. Smell is crisp and palatable. One of the better Mexican brews.

It does have the overly carbonated mouthfeel endemic to south of the border breweries, however.

Always get at least a 6 pack of this when I am down in Mexico for work.

A: Pours a clear yellow/gold color with a one finger, white foamy head on top. Pretty good retention, but minimal lacing.

S: A hint of hops with some floral notes and a bit of spice. There is a sweet malt aroma and some bready/doughy malt as well.

T: On the sweet side with a heavy malt bill. Lots of bread with a little bit of corn and some nice hops that come through as a bit of lemon and a touch of apple.

M: Medium bodied, with a nice crisp mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation.

O: One of my favorite Mexican beers. Most of my favorites are from the Bohemia line in fact. This one is easy drinking with a slight hop presence and a nice malt backbone.

A-Pours a lightly hazy straw yellow color. Head is bleached and about a quarter inch in height. Head, although small, does retain quite well. Light lacing. Armies of bubbles rise to fuel the head.

S-A bit skunky. Moderate Noble hop grassiness. Also a subtle cracker and corny graininess. Actually smells more legit than I expected it to be. Brings enough to the table.

T-The hops are clean and the skunk is muted to a certain extent. Subtle cracker/dough combination. Lightly spicy on the finish. The hoppiness is pronounced to a very respectable degree (especially for a Mexican import). Flavors work well together.

M-Light bodied with a spritzy carbonation level. Quite drinkable. Mild hop-induced bitterness. Crisp and clean. Barely any metallic flavor.

O/D-Better than expected. Blows other Mexi-brews away. Still, far from anything I would by again (as I only purchased a single). But hey, turns out it was worth trying.

Single, twelve-ounce bottle copped from Total Wine and More in West Orange for $1.49...
Pours a dark, golden-colored hue with slight carbonation and a very minimal head that left no lacing at all...
Malty, caramel aroma... Modest and unassertive...
Corn, malts, and thick grains present in the flavor, which was light-bodied, clean, crisp, and refreshing...
Loose, watered-down mouthfeel with an overall good level of drinkability...
Not bad...

Clear medium gold, darker than straw with a thinnish pale head. Simple laces on the glass. Scant aroma, slightly bready with a bit of tanginess. Light mouthfeel with lively but not overbearing carbonation. Starts with brown sugar flavors and a slightly grainy texture, dries a bit by mid mouth with just the mildest hops. Finish is quite clean, some of the earlier texture remains but much of the flavor has passed you by. Actually a fairly drinkable brew, if pretty unremarkable in most categories.

Bottle at Vive Sol in Mountain View, CA. Wow, this is actually not bad for a pale lager. Not great though if you classify it as a German pils.

Great clear golden-yellow appearance with a thick lasting white head.

The smell is nothing great - grainy with pale malt and a faint hint of hops.

The flavor is mildly sweet as well as mildly bitter. Pale malt, hay, grain, and floral hops.

Light on the palate but not too watery. Fairly crisp.

For the style (which I'm not a big fan of I must say), this is not terribly bad.

Lighter malt aroma that adds nicely to the drink. Nice full head. Clear light gold color. Taste is a little drier than many in style, but not sharp or bitter, which I think is why it goes so well with many foods. Good mouth feel, without excessive carbonation. A satisfying lager.

This is a simple brew. All the flavors are mild, but blended well. The hops are tasty; actually there is some good spiciness, citrus, and grassiness. The malt is weak but mingles well. It has a cleansing sensation on the palate. The nose is light (clean really), and it doesn’t do the beer much justice. Super pale yellow in color, the head was white, smallish and it disappeared fast. The carbonation seems fitting.

This beer is not going to tax your tastebuds but it is a decent drink. I bet is would go good with spicy foods.

I had a bottle of this at Cozey Mells in Las Vegas.

The beer pours a very light gold with a fluffy head and a bit of lacing . Very macro looking to say the least.

The beer has a slight but pleasant aroma of hay, grain and a bit of citrus.

The taste is workman like. A bit of graininess, and a bit sweet. You also get some subtle floral notes from the hops. Not earth shattering, but it went well with the food.

Crisp carbonation that seems well suited to this beer. The brewer has this part down. While the flavor is just average, this is a very easy drinking beer. I would have no problem ordering this one again.

Clear straw color with a subdued off-white head, decent carbonation, and decent lace. Light grainy malt aroma and flavor with light fruitiness. Medium bodied, creamy and smooth.

Not a Vienna Lager but a darn good Mexican beer ... more like a Helles and a good one at that.

Pours a clear gold with a white fizzy head and some good lacing.

Smells of sweet malt, almost wheat sweetness.

Nice smooth beer, with sweet grain, clean sweet malt, and some hop bitterness. Very nice and balanced.

Medium mouthfeel and moderate carbonation make this extremely drinkable. No bitter bites or off flavors. Terrific rep of the style. I'll be getting this again, probably more for the summer.

Pale golden color with some darker rings. Lacing is scant, pale white, and short lived. Nothing special.

The aroma is like seltzer water with a hint of pale grains and DMS. Faint beeriness. The flavor is similarly weak. Carbonation is prominent in the flavor, unfortunately. Body is too fizzy and also very light.

Nothing special, this does not stand out from a crowded pack. Pass.

Medium gold, small head raises and falls very fast. Skunks grassy malt smell. Flavor has a lot of skunky malt, but also hides a hefe-like banana and clove flavor, also a little metallic. Body is very thin, i could see this crap getting annoying very quickly.

Medium golden color with a small white head which disappears in seconds, good lace, and lots of fizzy carbonation. Aroma has just a hint of skunk, slight malt, and mild floral hops. Taste begins with slightly sweet bread malts, which are quickly subsumed by earthy/medicinal hop flavors that linger past the end of the taste. Finish is crisp nd dry. Mouthfeel is quite good for the style. This beer pairs very well with spicy foods and is quite refreshing in and of itself. Among the better of classical Mexican beers.
